Happy New Year everyone! For the second podcast we are very glad to welcome our guests from Berlin- TIKØA and MØNØSTEP .
Founders and current participants of the codec992, which is a label for electronic music, events and podcast series, they contributed significantly to developing their own skills, as well as the local electronic scene. The first releases on the label were created in collaboration with artists like Stanislav Tolkachev, Illnurse, Radio Slave, etc. The label itself has been supported by Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Dax J, Introversion, Parallx, Paula Temple and Rebekah.

DJ Sickfuck aka Leeza Shumova is Russian-American DJ/Producer whose heavily sample-based production style focuses on ghetto/jungle/electro mashups and raw emotional bangers that have been featured on FTP, Clandestine Records and Raw Russian.
Founder of the Weird Nights tape label and series of AV events dedicated to experimental music, 1/3 of BRB (badrussianbitchez) and a member of resonancemoscow, she most recently helped launch the M+ST (mostmscw) online music streaming platform in Moscow.

 In episode 13 of the podcast we meet 666.28 - a resident of our promo group, as well as the host of SHIFTING PODCAST. 666.28 -  is a DJ from Far East of Russia, currently based in Yerevan, Armenia. Over the past year, he has performed monthly at promo groups 171 and R.K.N. and made a significant contribution to the organization and hosting of the events of Khabarovsk’s local scene.
 In his sets, he mixes many genres in order to create an interesting, versatile and captivating sound. For our podcast, 666.28 prepared a symbiosis of techno, trance, electro and break beat, with inserts of hypnotic and tribal sounds, acid and groove. Enjoy!

The last podcast of this year was recorded for us by Qi –  Dj from Armenia and resident at the iconic Yerevan’s club Poligraf.
Qi is the vital force, the energy in a state of continuous flux, transforming endlessly. It is neither created nor is it ever destroyed; it simply changes in its manifestation. Qi has built her sound and presence in electronic music since 2019. Before expressing her creativity by music she's been into visual arts.
Her sound is versatile. It varies from the modern sound of classic techno to more organic and ritualistic. Her sets can be both joyful and dark.
Qi`s music can be heard in local electronic music venues and local community raves as: Poligraf, dk.tsk, Loopdeville, etc.
For our podcast, Qi prepared a 160 BPM mix filled with trance music that cuts to the very tips of the nerve endings, so let's fly!

18th episode of our podcast is recorded by yutani, please welcome! A child of 90’s who witnessed and was influenced by the most rapid stages of evolution in electronic music. yutani’s vigorous passion for translating action into a sound wave brought him behind the decks. His music encompasses a wide range of cultural nuances from the breakbeat and electro molded with post-Soviet era sounds to the tribal drums encapsulated in deep and electrified waveforms.
Mix includes mostly broken beats and electric synthesis and also all tracks from his upcoming “Roori” EP.

SHIFTING PODCAST #18 yutani

Meshes is the pseudonym of Teodor Feoktistov, a bright live musician and DJ, Russian born, now he is living in Israel. In his work, he draws inspiration both from the early age of ebm and the new beat, and today deliberately primitive, but aggressive avant-garde electronics. A characteristic feature of his tracks are the powerful sounds of a powerful bassline, a dense stream of drums, as well as his expressive vocals - effective phrases that ironically glorify dancing, euphoria and decadence. Fedor's releases over the past year have been released on labels around the world - OSM tapes (Greece), Shishi (Georgia), Up North (Australia), Crave Tapes (Germany), Idlestate Recordings (England), Buraco (Brazil), Of dolls and Murder (Argentina), Gravitational Waves (Finland), Sharped (France), Tutamen (England) and most recently the artist released a track on a vinyl compilation of the Berlin label Dame-Music, Bloodymary's label.

SHIFTING PODCAST #24 - DJ RUSSIAN AIDS

New episode was recorded for us by Shevin Kields. Artyom is a dj and producer from Balashiha, who has been experimenting with the music since 2014. His production varies between such genres as electro, techno, brekbeat, EDM, jungle and DnB. 
  On 19th of June he released his debute album on Sound Transitions.

yutani – Shamisen

Our new episode’s guest is trinniti – a DJ and producer from Yerevan, Armenia.
Her journey of sound exploration started early in the childhood when she played piano and sang along.
In 2021 she began exploring electronic music from Poligraf’s Dproc (school of dJing). Since then she managed to perform in multiple clubs and events around Armenia.
 After being a part of the local rave culture and underground community, trinniti started a production project as well, working on break beat and dark DnB tracks.
She plays within a range of genres, such as dark electro, breaks, break beat, acid techno, punk and more.
 This is exactly the kind of mix she prepared for our podcast, enjoy!

 Matvey prefers high bpm, new trance aesthetics and psychedelic electronics in all its forms. He has performed at many iconic Moscow venues (RNDM, Pole, Strelka, Powerhouse, Simach).
 Currently, as Matvey Schetinkin, he realizes himself in such genres as speed house and hardgroove, and also actively performs with experimental live sets under the pseudonym 2096 fx. Along with this, Matvey is engaged in sound design and conceptual poetry.
