Alright, here is my latest EP. I never know what the best strategy is in terms of releasing EP's. I know I haven't spent weeks hyping it up but as soon as I think a project is ready I want you guys to hear it as soon as possible. That does mean however that sometimes the albums don't reach as many people as they could, which is why it would be amazing if you guys could share the album if you like it. Doing everything myself in terms of making, releasing, and promoting my music is hard sometimes, so I would really appreciate any help you guys could give me. 

In terms of the EP, I ask you to approach it with an open mind; as with all my releases, it consists of many different genres, and the freedom to explore different styles is what makes music so exciting for me, so I hope you guys enjoy it. On the whole the album is more upbeat than some of my other stuff, and each track has a huge amount of time invested in it, and is the result of layer upon layer slowly being built up, so take some time to really listen to the songs and pick them apart. LEO ISLO returns to LAMP following his debut song 'Feelings' with a soulful, uptempo release in 'Higher Living'.

The track opens with an array of floating synths, pitch bending chords and echoing piano stabs that create an introspective environment before being cut by a deep, gritty bassline. A dampened kick and house-infused percussion elements accentuate the songs main groove, building and layering elements into a hazy cloud before releasing the production back into dance territory.

Islo’s signatures vocals are airy and soothing, carefully guiding you through each chorus and generating a hypnotic harmony with the core melody. 'Higher Living' measures up to its name with lyrics focused on vice-laden escapism and a careless desire to live inside a dangerous fantasy.

ROAD TRIP!!! Bags packed. Supplies? A briefcase full of a whole galaxy of multi-colored Skittles, chips, Warheads, Pop Rocks and also a quart of Coke, a case of stroopwafels, a pint of raw apple juice, you get the idea. Once you get locked into a serious snack collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. But where is The Bearded Man headed on this rainy, gray, abysmal day? And why is the top down on his convertible? In answer to the second question, it's because it's broken, but the first question is harder to pinpoint. You see, it started pre-internet, you know, when everyone was an idiot. The Bearded Man heard a tune playing from a passing car while he was parked on the side of the road that was so good, he just had to follow it. Not being able to Shazam, not being able to Spotify, he had no choice but to pack up, and follow the general direction the car was heading. It wouldn't be glamorous, but hell, it was worth it. For a song that good, he'd go anywhere. Years later, he finally tracked down the car and its owner. That's how he met Oleska for the very first time!

Today we have a truly classic track with us as our PHW / PHW Elements Christmas Gift, as we see the track that really kicked things of from this absolutely amazing talent from the UK, the one and only Toby Hedges and his timeless production ”Mirai”. It feels like just around the corner, and still it is almost 3 years since this track arrived to the world. About the original there isn't a thungs that haven't been said over the years, and we leave it like that. We are certain all prog lovers remember this PHW signing. 

Though we see it coming back, and what is better than bringing another tremendous producer back on it, and whipp on a total remake of it. Our good buddy and co worker on PHW, Eleve is giving this worldwide recognized track his tweak and twist, and the out come is fair to say absolutely superb with a juicy groove, cool vocal elements added on together with the laid back and yet pumping feel. We absolutely love it, and hope to see a lot of attention for it, as it is what it deserves, super work Jarl as always!
