Check out my classic funky house mix on soundcloud from era when funky house ruled,  the midlands dominated club culture with the likes of Lovezoo in Nottingham, Blend in Derby, Miss Moneypennys in Birmingham, Hed Kandi springing up all over the place at different venues  along with  afterclubs  Eclipse, Ice, Starlight in Nottingham , Insomniacs in Birmingham carrying on the vibe after the clubs had closed for the night .This is on top of the dance clubs that had been and gone before them with the likes of  Venus,  Esensence , Rennaissance,  Beatroot, The Bomb, Deluxe, DIY parties  all  in Nottingham ,Progress and Hot to trot in Derby and Wobble in Birmingham to name just  few. Wow  what a clubbing pedigree the midlands once had  so proud to have been part of it all.
