Heutzutage ist die Verführung eines aufgeblähten Egos groß. Man findet unzählige Gründe sich über andere Menschen zu erheben und sich selbst für etwas besseres zu halten. Diese Tendenz lässt sich sowohl gesamtgesellschaftlich, als auch im kleinen beobachten. Selbstverständlich hat das menschliche Ego eine unverkennbare Daseinsberechtigung. Es macht uns lebens- und überlebensfähig, es dient als Schutzwall und als Motor für unsere Handlungen und Taten. Problematisch wird es erst dann, wenn Egotrips dem Gemeinwohl in die Quere kommen. Eine überzogenes Ego nimmt dem Menschen die Weitsicht und den Blick für das große Ganze. Wie so oft ist auch hier die Balance gefragt und gefordert. In gewissen Situationen ist eine Entscheidung für das Kollektiv, auch die gewinnbringendste Wahl für einen selbst. Ein Perspektivwechsel kann einem da buchstäblich die Augen öffnen. Oft ist die Lösung nur einen Katzensprung entfernt …

KataHaifisch Podcast 265 - Elias Goldmund

Bei dieser sonntags Spezialausgabe des KataHaifisch Podcasts handelt es sich um einen Livemitschnitt aus dem Katerblau. Der Erschaffer dieses Sets und jedes einzelnen Tracks darin ist Christian Hülshoff. In liebevoller Handarbeit wurden die selbstproduzierten Songs vor den Augen und Ohren der Katerblau-Crowd in ein Liveset verwoben. Dabei ist die Atmosphäre sowohl entspannt, als auch treibend zugleich. Man verliert sich nur all zu leicht in den mystisch anmutenden Klängen und die Grenzen zwischen Zeit & Raum verschwimmen. 
Christian Hülshoff trifft mit diesem Set wieder einmal voll ins schwarze. Er bleibt seiner Linie treu und entwickelt sich dennoch stetig weiter. Sein einzigartiger Sound ist mitreißend und eignet sich ideal zum tanzen.

Last night I had a piece of foreign matter in my foot that prevented me from sleeping. That was the reason why I sat down in the studio and played some music while I waited for the emergency doctors to open. Luckily I pressed the record button. Would have been a shame if I hadn't. Ooh Lusatia, you were the climax of my summer and managed to be even better than last year and exceed my expectations. I fucking love this magical festival! <3 

Couldn't have imagined a better closure for the festival season, nor a better playtime. Playing the sunset on saturday evening from 19:30 - 21:00 at the mystic stage was the perfect opportunity to express myself through music and all the processes accumulated in me lately. It felt like an ecstatic exhale after breathing in so many transformative experiences this year. It all had to come out and be released at one point, and I am so happy about how well received my sound was - knowing how much love and time I've invested in this set, I was confident it would be special, but I didn't expect that a few people would come to me and say I was their musical highlight of the festival! Especially amongst so many amazing artists... Wow, I'm truly grateful and humbled. 

Big gratitude goes for the Wanderzirkus and Mystic Tales crew for the amazing stage design 💛 and understanding the music I am playing. And of course to Wilde Möhre Festival ,  Pachamama  and Love Foundation Global for co-creating this experience!

Lusatia Festival 2022 | Saturday Sunset | Mystic Stage

During Wildeburg 2022, @HouseofChi hosted a stage on Wildeburg festival for the fifth time. This time we took our residency into the Kas, together with Beeldjutters.

Thommie G is one of our resident artists for quite some years, yet every time he comes up with surprises of new energy. Enjoy this special set he cooked for us during Wildeburg 2022.

Chi House #002: Thommie G live at Wildeburg 2022

After witnessing a glorious sunset on the western edge of the forest, Hekske (the little witch) and Falke (the 10 year-old witch apprentice) hurried to the eastern edge of the darkening forest (followed by a parliament of owls), just in time to observe a spellbinding spectacle.  While the planet Mars was already shining brightly over the south-eastern sky, the girls held their breath while the full moon rose majestically over the horizon, making the autumn forest shine in a soft glow.  After singing a few sweet songs dedicated to the moon, the vivacious witches decided to call it a night and returned to their soft bed of moss while thinking back to this beautiful sunny day in which they enjoyed the vivid autumn colors of the leaves all day long.
Meanwhile the temperature plunged rapidly, which brought Hekske and Falke in the mood to cuddle up together under their warm blanket of moss and hay, keeping each other cosy and warm.  The girls snuggled deep under their blanket, and they felt their heartbeats slowing down until they pounded synchronously at exactly the same pace, while their breathing became deeper and more relaxed.  They soon drifted into a blissful sleep.  Then a gentle wind blew some fallen leaves on the blanket of the witches.  Throughout the night, more and more leaves piled up on top of the sleeping beauties.  By an invisible yet irresistible force, all the leaves got pulled to the beating heart of the forest.
When the girls woke up next morning, they realized that they were underneath a huge heap of colorful leaves, 8 feet high.  They also found out that hundreds of ladybugs and cross spiders had snuggled deep into the pile of leaves too, looking for a safe place to hibernate.  The girls enjoyed the pleasant company of all their little friends and were not in a hurry to sneak out of the heap (which they finally did without disrupting all these sweet animals).  After getting out, it appeared that dozens of little spiders had found a comfortable place in Hekske’s brown and Falke’s blond hair.  The hair of a witch is of an incredible softness, but the girls made it clear that their long hair is not a suitable place for hibernation, so they gently shrugged off all the spiders and put them on the side of the pile of leaves, so that they could find a cosy place to spend the winter.
Meanwhile a family of weaver birds was already busy stitching together a new blanket of moss, hay and down feathers, quite a bit thicker than their old summer blanket. Now that the witches’ old bed had been transformed into an insect hotel, it was time to move to a new winter bed of moss…
