We have now arrived to the third chapter in our successful downbeat and chill-out series.
Eleven exquisite tunes selected by swedish electronic music composer Magnus Birgersson, more known as Solar Fields. His first album 'Reflective Frequencies' was released 2001 on french label Ultimae. Today Magnus has released five full length albums and is a well established name in the ambient music scene.

First out is James Murray from London, UK with 'Last man in the World'. James is working as a freelance composer, producer and sound designer and is currently finishing his debut album which will be released on Ultimae. Second is newcomer Amos from Upplands Vaesby near Stockholm Sweden, presenting his jazzy ambient track 'Street Lights'. Swedish producer I Awake is next with his wonderful 'Life Cipher', followed by Gothenburg duo Carbon Based Lifeforms 'Endospore', a dreamlike, euphoric track.

Tune number five is no other than Solar Fields himself giving us 'Feelings', a extraordinary piece of music craftmanship. Next up is Vibrasphere, here teamed up with american singer Irina Mikhailova. Their track 'Meander' is a true masterpiece of chilled music.

Continuing the musical journey, norway producer Xerxes gives us his 'Early Morning Crystals', a more groovy, hypnotic number straight from the norwegian fiords. The following tune is from Dennis Tapper, more known as Hux Flux. Together with former Ibojima-member Magnus Holte they have formed the project Illuminus. Here they present their psychedelic dub soundscape 'Dem Cowboys'.

Chromosome continues the psychedelic surges with the melodic 'Evens Heaven', followed by the trance veteran Blue Planet Corporation with his magnificent, funky 'A Foret(e)st Of Paradise'. Closing the collection is no other than Robert Elster from Vibrasphere and technoproducer Martin Skogehall as the duo Kritical Audio. 'Yellow Blend' is a brilliant, rythmic piece with a catchy 303 bassline.

Today’s Bedouin Tea shall take you on a trip through the Egyptian Mountains. Hot Oasis used his favorite desert plants for this special edition and brought his own tea pot – to be enjoyed with sugar!

Hot oasis represents the sound of nature with a strong influence of South Sinai peaceful spirit. His melodic tunes reflect the sound of the oasis and the mystery of the mountains to take the ears to a psychedelic journey.

His style lies somewhere between melodic techno and ethnic downtempo and has been showcased on imprints such as Stil Vor Talent, Click Records, Art Vibes Music, Buddha Bar, Lump Records, Sol Selectas, Pipe & Pochet, Souq Records, Sweet Musique and more. 

His latest release named “Ophera” is out on the latest VA of A Tribe Called Kotori, the spiritual Stil vor Talent spin-off franchise by Oliver Koletzki.

PALE PENGUIN’s one of the key figures in Greek electronic scene. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, he’s been djing for almost 20 years being one of the best Greek Breaks/Techno/Tech-House djs. In his portfolio there are appearances in big festivals (Sola Luna, Balkan Voices, Urban Rhythm, Reworks, Butterfly, Spring Festen) alongside Slam, Felix Da Housecat, Dave Angel, Luke Slater, Dominic Eulberg, Modeselektor, Rob Luis (Tru Thoughts), Coldcut, Octave One, Eddie Piller etc, and many venues throughout Greece and Europe. He has done warm-ups to artists likes Rjd2, Thievery Corporation, Richard Dorfmeister, Nightmares On Wax, Kid Loco, Mushroom (Massive Attack), Frank Popp, Bjorn Torske, Bentley’s Rhythm Ace, Snowboy, Hooverphonic etc. He was one of the first radio producers playing Breaks/Drum n’Bass and Electronica in his legendary “Tricknology”, “Brainwash” and “Cinematica Paradiso” radio shows. Since 2003 he’s resident dj in Bar/Club Elvis, Thessaloniki, Greece presenting Friday “BreakTech” nights in which he has hosted Meat Katie, Lee Coombs, Tom Real, Malente, Andy Smith, Ursula 1000, Smacs & Crazy Sonic, Lee Bass and Aidan Lavelle. On an fine evening, a virus has struck the machine that produces SOLmundo. There came… LOS’t.mundo  

Symptoms? Signs show that the virus kills soft & slow tracks and it ‘AIDS’ the fast, deep and dark. Hence, the virus left nothing but Techno music. The library has suffered these symptoms for a few days and is now deserted with LOS’t.mundo tracks only. 

Unlike COVID, the virus is yet to be discovered, and malware couldn’t fight it indefinitely yet. Hence, chances for it to revive again is unclear at this stage. However, signs have been good and SOLmundo is returning sooner than we know with the freshest Downtempo with a very talented guest. 

While you may get LOS’t. in this improvised set. Be sure to stay safe on the journey.

This short mix carried the working title "in dog years you'd be dead". It is about the relativity of things and the necessity not to see all things always so bloody absolute. All the more so, in difficult times like these. 

This mix succeeded so well because my music friend Evgeniy Orlov from Samara in Russia listened to it well after the first take. By doing so, he  identified exactly the same weak points as I did in my humble analysis. After that,  it was an easy job to change my concept a tiny bit.  Thanks for that my friend and thanks once again for showing me this Dmitry Molosh tune.

" We use music, haunting scenery and a secret place to create a hidden garden where we can be ourselves, to create connections between people in an environment of love, spirituality, to open up to the spirit, to accept others, to accept oneself and to love. "

Bio: 
Electronic music lover since 2004.
He was born in a small town of Bursa in 1987.
In 2007 he went to Sofia to study.
Until 2011, the lessons he listened to during the day were entering in one ear and coming out of the other, but at night when listening to the leading names of electronic music, music did not come in from one ear and exit from the other.

Although he had no training in music, he discovered that he did not hear music the way everyone hears it and did not see it the way everyone saw it. He believed that putting pieces together was a good listener and proved that it was more than just believing.

Believing that music has a philosophy above all.
ongunko continues to express himself by bringing together his own favorite melodies from different cultures with Enharmonica and Sound Of Deception series.
One of his biggest dreams about the music is to prepare his set consisting entirely of his own tracks one day, his track trials continue and you will hear it when it is ready.
