Mont Lake Records return to the record stores with their fifth release. The Austrian outfit have kept true to their word of pushing quality over quantity. Releases remain infrequent, but the standard does not falter. The latest in the vinyl only series features a full EP from DJ Honesty alias Honeydrop.

The Portugal based artist is long since known for his affiliation with Cabinet Records. With over 20 years of making music under his belt, his sound has been primed and developed. The Honeydrop project has moved with it. And with longevity comes expertise, making this four tracker an impressive addition to the Mont Lake platform. Next up on Pheek's Archipel Musique out of Montreal is Hungarian producer Valth, who returns to the label with the Tales From The Bar EP, and follows up some promising releases on Conceptual and Outpunkt. The dreamy and evocative soundscape of "Dreams Of The Broken Piano" is equal parts neo-classical and balearic, while the hazy jazz bar loops of "Hazy Lights" demonstrates he's capable of deep house style mood music as well. "It's Not Rocket Science" takes a darker turn on this moody minimal tech house number, and "Fragmented Harmony" is a glassy eyed and bittersweet epic using some sublime breakbeats.
