This song was released in 2002. It contains samples from the song "Very Special" by Debra & Ronnie Laws which was released in 1981. I always enjoyed the song and it had been a while since I heard it. I didn't want to take the initial feel away but rather give you my opinion. I tried not to over produce, I slowed it down to give it a more emotional feel but added the busy drums to balance it out. I also re sampled some pieces of the original song for the intro and outro aswell as add one extra synth to give it a hint of new melody. This Song was Originally Released in 1998 on the Bad Boy Label and contains samples from a song called "Chic Cheer" by the disco band Chic which was released in 1978. Then in 1999, the Fatman Scoop version was released on AV8 Records. I've always liked the Fatman Scoop version since its such a party jam which most people know. Unfortunately I could not find the acapella for that version so I used it as inspiration and put together various Fatman Scoop samples to make my version. I hope you enjoy and if you do.. This song is just a random idea I had. Initially I wanted to make a song for my Birthday but never got around to it until now. The beat was created about 2 years ago by Chicago based producer Thelonious Martin, who has produced for 2 of my favourite artists at the moment: Action Bronson & RetcH.

The beat and name both struck me because I have lived in the same house all my life and in the exact same room in which I spend 98% of my time. This song is basically about escaping from that lonely room in many ways and progressing in life. I recorded it in my room and did all the vocals, I freestyled the verse section by section as well as the singing hook.
