Øddity’s first release of 2024 marks the hotly anticipated return of prodigious talent Final Request, who is forging a reputation for unforgettable dance-floor moments on Øddity, Atlant, Watergate, Stil Vor Talent and Global Underground. 

For ODTD053 Final Request delivers a formidable original in a top tier package featuring the all star remix cast of Fur Coat, Olivier Giacomotto and Coeus.

Mesmerising original ‘Driven By The Stars’ sets a pulsing melodic groove from the get go, immediately locking you in. With Ant Art’s emphatic vocal taking over the intensity building over each successive bar. From here Final Request adds ringing keys, heart wrenching chords, driving bass and urgent beats as the track explodes.

Øddity label boss Fur Coat provides the first in a compelling trio of remixes. Focused dark tones and thumping beats set the scene, as Sergio uses Ant’s vocal as the focal point, cleverly adding his now spin through a sumptuous hypnotic melody and pulsating bass-line. This classy remix deserves a powerful sound system for maximum impact.

Coeus turns in a dynamic and expansive interstellar journey full of twists and turns. Disorientating staccato keys create the perfect point for the vocal to enter, leading to stunning breakdown. From here it's all about when the bass drops. Coeus doesn’t disappoint, hitting warp speed amongst the cacophony of beats. Buckle up tight and enjoy the ride.

Not to be outdone Olivier Giacomotto closes the EP in a cavernous melodic techno interpretation that drags you deep into the abyss. Tense jagged shuddering stabs keep you on the edge of your seat as Ants FX ridden vocal is given a futuristic machine like quality. Olivier’s masterful arrangement will have DJs coming back for more.

Clubsonica Records continues into the summer season by welcoming AKSOM back to the label alongside debutant INA NIA. Hailing from Colombia, AKSOM debuted his newly coined melodic house and techno alias in 2023 amidst much praise. Clubsonica would act as the vehicle for AKSOM's double a-side debut ‘Artefactum | Saturn', a release which would receive support from Armin Van Buuren, John OO Fleming and Mind Against, amongst others. Noted for his pristine production quality and contemporary melodic approach, the Cali resident wrapped up the year with the mainstage Beatport chart success ‘Velocity', a track recorded alongside American artist Luke Alexander. Meanwhile, DJ, singer, songwriter, and producer INA NIA has emerged with a diverse array of sounds, showcasing her versatility in almost every genre as INA, and in the darker realms of melodic techno as NIA. Her music reflects a harmonious blend, capturing the essence of various genres and delivering a unique experience. Now, combining their extensive forces for the first time, AKSOM and INA NIA make their collaborative debut with ‘Ale', alongside a remix from Nosssia.

Beginning with the lighter monochromes of the original mix, the duo's craftsmanship reveals itself, as nostalgic melodies flicker atop tight kick drums and perfectly contoured grooves, eventually leading to the introduction of angelic vocal phrasing. The main break proves to be highly emotive, flowing through wavy arps, wispy vocal fragments and trance-inspired motifs, charming in essence and building with a classy sense of restraint, before a vortex of drums sparks a cleverly co-axed drop and blissed out finale.

The release concludes with Nosssia making his label debut with the lone interpretation of ‘Ale'. Hailing from Colombia, Nosssia first emerged in 2019 on the strength of early tracks 'Astro' and 'Survival'. Immediately regarded for his melodic sound, the rising talent would be tipped as a force within the the newly coined melodic house & techno genre, eventually earning support from a broad range of tastemakers, from Agents of Time, Artbat, Fideles, Innellea and Tale Of Us to Nick Warren and Sasha Carassi. Projects on respected imprints such as Einmusika, Running Clouds, Siona and UPPERGROUND would soon follow, and with that Nosssia became a Beatport sales chart staple. Now, presenting his first production of 2024, Nosssia makes his Clubsonica debut with a stellar rendition of ‘Ale'. Opting for a more direct dancefloor approach, the Colombian conveys the mood from the original beautifully, for a tougher and slightly less vocally dominant, yet equally emotive and dramatic version that's driven by devilish stabs and siren-like synth flares, making it perfect for those peak time moments.
