Italian duo FLVXXX arrive on Local Knowledge with a double drop of hi-detail, lo-hertzing corkers.

All eyes are firmly fixed on the horizon, FLVXXX have turned the keys and gripped the wheel – Ripping through the psychotropic and suitably energetic roads of the Knowledge zone with down-tempo don A-Tweed riding shotgun.


A-Side ‘Murdah’ twists half-time drum-and-bass into a weaponised wall shaking mutation. A big time sound for the fast/ slow freaks.


The flip-side ‘Chant’, which steadily rolls on a 98 BPM tip is a tripped out Dembow beat with expansive FX, rocked proper by heavy low-end and XL ballistics. A complement in energy to the A-side’s pace

*MC* It's Narathip! The Amsterdam-based DJ comes through with a heavy low-end mix that captures the essence of experiencing a soundsystem for the first time again. 

A cultural curator who does it all, Narathip runs the booking agency and music platform Rhythmic Culture, hosts a regular radio show on Echobox as well as works in-house at local juggernaut Dekmantel. Late last year, Narathip celebrated 7 years of Rhythmic Culture which initially started as a Soundcloud channel and has now expanded into a booking agency - with the likes of AliA, Lieke TR, Lolo Batten, Low End Activist, ojoo, Photonz and more on their roster - and last year saw the launch of their record label with a release from Zohar & Mika Oki followed by Keita Sano. To celebrate their 7th birthday, Rhythmic Culture took over Skatecafe for an all killer, no filler event with Identified Patient, Askmelater, Lieke TR, Madba, Max Abysmal, Photonz and Thrills in +41. 

In the below interview, we get to know Narathip a little more as we chat through his musical history, relationship with creativity, inspirations and approach to his craft. Plus he takes us on a deep dive into the bass bin with podcast 179.

Apart from his interest in electronic music, Amsterdam DJ and producer Tijmen Blokzijl has developed a vivid passion for molecular plant biology and anything other biology related. In pursuit of the balance between his passion for green life sciences and electronic sound design, Teqmun pushes his sound to be constantly shifting between crisp organic textures and snappy driving drums. The electrifying frenzy of colourful synths and energetic percussive elements that are composed keep his music undeniably compelling.

About the mix:

After a short ambient intro i wanted to delve into the more experimental corners of my music collection, keeping it strictly 150 bpm.

The promising DJ and producer once said about Upsammy’s music: 'It evokes the sensation of crawling through a landscape like an ant.' He curated a mix that feels to call upon this visualization. In this hour filled with half-time breaks and prickly rhythms you get a good idea of what he's all about. It's adventurous, unpredictable and driving; gritty, raw textures intertwine with bright glowing melodies and synths, creating a sense of ease and softness you want to drown in, while haunting elements and energetic percussion keep it lively and much bouncing.
