Mr. Fingers - Mystery Of Love

This is the complete and final mix of my thesis project sound piece. It includes recordings from interviews I conducted over the summer, iconic voices of this subculture's community, and popular vogue beats of the past and present. This sound piece uses their own voices and music to tell their story through a musical narrative that takes you on a sensorial guide into the Ballroom Community and voguing. I would like to thank David Garcia for helping me with the final edit. 

When exhibited, this soundpiece goes in coordination with a video montage of the culture I have created in collaboration with Foolmob as well.

For the past seven years, I have collaborated with Kim Jones, the Menswear Designer for Louis Vuitton, on each of his runway presentations. I have met and worked with some of the most amazing artists and musical icons from Giorgio Moroder to Nile Rodgers, and Nellee Hooper. Each show was unique and the musical selections have ranged from Kate Bush, Patrick Cowley to MFSB's Love Is The Message, rave classic Age of Love by Jam and Spoon, and for the F/W 2017 Menswear presentation in collaboration with Supreme, Sound Factory Classics. This is his final presentation for the house and we selected a Chicago early house anthem Takin' It Straight by Cori Josias in which I did a special edit. Thank you Kim for the opportunity of being able to express such underground anthems and influential music to a global audience.

Hello! 

Here is the recording of my very first sunset set with the family of The Gardens of Babylon. Due to a missed flight I switched set times with Be Svendsen and got the chance to play while the sun slowly started to set. As the songs were passing by, the radiant glow of light illuminating the whole rooftop created a magical, quite surreal atmosphere. It was an honor to soundtrack this moment. No matter how hard I try, I don't succeed finding words to describe the energy and emotions felt in that instant. Well, I let the music speak.

I would like to thank The Gardens of Babylon for inviting me. Wherever we are, I always feel at home and I'm grateful to have shared this moment with so many beautiful souls. THANK YOU!
