In the first instalment we'll be throwing back to March 2021 with a live recording of Guy Contact's fantastic set from our collaborative launch party with System. A near two hour excursion into his carefully crafted sound in the warehouse context.

Guy Contact - Desert Portal (Snippets)

For ONOMIX 005 we welcome one of Boorloo's most electric n' eclectic selectors, Doug Swamp. 

Unwaveringly passionate about music, Doug can be found diving deep into underground archives for his Drivetime show on beloved local community radio station RTRFM. Or commanding sun soaked dancefloors with his dynamic deejaying. Doug exhibits his knowledge here with this brilliant blend of post-punk oddities, breaky steppers and summertime grooves. Class is in session! 

This mix was recorded on Whadjuk Noongar country and we acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay respects to elders past, present and emerging.

ONOMIX 005: Doug Swamp

For ONOMIX 006 we are very excited to welcome fantastic Naarm DJ and radio presenter, Jazz!

Jazz offers their unique blend of deep crystalline ambience, tweaky IDM, and deep dub induced techno. Recorded live at Daybreak Festival in Naarm last month.

ONOMIX 006: Jazz

We are stoked to welcome British born, Boorloo residing Patrick Little AKA Shari-Vari Records for the seventh instalment of our ONOMIX series. 

Having moved over to our sunny shores a few years back, Patrick has lived and played records around London. Spinning at revered listening bars such as Brilliant Corners and was a mainstay presenter on the globally loved internet radio station NTS. Patrick now owns and operates Shari-Vari Records in the beautiful State Treasury Buildings at the heart of the CBD where you can find an incredible array of esoteric records of all flavours, hand curated by Patrick himself.

Patrick displays his breadth of taste in his beautiful ONOMIX here, spinning folk and outsider rock rarities. The perfect mix to sooth your soul post silly season madness. So recline, unwind, listen and enjoy!

ONOMIX 007: Shari-Vari Records

Project 95 is the house music love affair of two homies, Myles Mac and Grant Camov. ONO Records in collaboration with the party crew, Co-Op, hosted them out west alongside talented newcomer Jazz (Who contributed to the series with ONOMIX006). The two proceeded to bring the house down with their fantastic closing set, which was recorded and being offered as the 8th instalment of our mix series! 

Inside you’ll find two hours of masterfully mixed, totally bumpin’ 90’s house anthems and deep cuts with that incredible live set energy to either relive, or get your long weekend party started!

This milestone is marked by a live recording from ONO Underground in the latter half of last year. By Boorloo’s favourite boundary pusher, Lia T. 

We’re so excited to see this masterful mix come out. Lush, introspective and undoubtedly fresh spring to mind when listening to #10. But you’ll have to have a listen yourself and find out!

ONOMIX moves full steam ahead into the double digits with this energetic mix from local wax wizard Brie, recorded live from his closing set at our last ONO Underground gathering in June.

We're so glad to have captured this mix, and to be sharing it with you with the ONOMIX stamp. It's cool, driving, propulsive, explorative, wonderfully weird and undeniably dancey.

This one's a 'listen with good headphones' type situation. We hope you enjoy!

A long time favourite here at ONO HQ, the big man stylishly strides across many different sounds, flavours and tempos in this effortless 3 hour mix. All whilst remaining true to a sound meticulous crafted through his dedicated work in the scene over the last few years

Its dark, dubby, and undeniably dancey. So good.

ONOMIX 012: Aphid

For ONOMIX 013 we are extremely psyched to present a mix from Tokyo based selector / wizard Gold 43. 

A solid fixture of the Tokyo underground scene for the better part of a decade now, Gold 43 cut his teeth working at the esteemed Face Records in Shibuya, where he would have first pick of the wax coming through the door. Building up an arsenal of 90's rave rarities and house gems that define his truly unique style. 

Inspired by the scene and the DJs around him he began spinning his tunes around town, eventually kicking off the party series COMBO at Illas bar in Shimokitazawa, with friend and fellow 90's house nut Jima. A club night where the two of them, plus some special guests, could spin records true to their own style.

After knowing Daisuke for a couple years now we are delighted to be releasing this mix. Such a sick DJ with a dope style, and a total legend too!

ONOMIX 013: Gold 43

ONO is extremely excited to present the album, RAMZTEK, from Québec producer, composer Phoebé Guillemot & the ever enigmatic shape-shifter RAMZi.

RAMZTEK is the fifth release on ONO Records and Phoebé’s first with an Australian label after a celebrated career to date spanning fifteen releases. Following Balmini that was released earlier this year, RAMZTEK marks a new direction for the beat-wielding imp RAMZi. On a faster pace, the bouncy and wild energy remains on these groove forward grem-tek induced house grooves, finished with a dusting of classic RAMZi dubby psychedelia.

Mainly composed last January back in her studio in Montreal, in preparation for her tour in Australia, these 7 sonic quests finally found a home on our humble little label in Boorloo. We have been so excited to unleash this disc into the world, this one's for smoke hazed sunsets amongst some trees, played loud!
