Four years after initial release, Soul Ex Machina returns with a second instance of "Symbol LP," documenting their evolution into a fully-fledged record label. This compilation showcases the collective's diverse range of interests within the bass music spectrum, infused by diverse influences. The LP is a dynamic fusion of dubstep, jungle, drum & bass, breaks and featuring tracks from both established and emerging artists from around the globe.

"Symbol2 LP" transcends the borders of the Czech scene, cementing Soul Ex Machina's position on the international underground stage. This compilation is a cohesive narrative that pushes the boundaries of the label and sets the stage for the collective's future endeavors. S - Capade got into the sound of hardcore jungle in the early nineties. Based on his background as a drummer he supported many DJ sets and then soon after became a DJ himself. Starting out his new found vocation he played a number of pirate Radio stations in Europe and swiftly moved onto the underground club scene. Adding to the DnB industry further he started promoting events and soon after became part owner and resident DJ at the legendary Massive Tunes and Oxygen events in Aachen, Germany.

Hailing from Poznan, Poland and leading the legendary DrumObsession crew, Locked Concept welcomes Alegria for his debut on the label.

Alegria was first approached for a release on Locked Concept following his debut EP - ’Petrograd’ on Akuratyde's Modern Conveniences. Although this wasn't the first time Lockjaw and Tellus had heard of Alegria, with the two label co-founders coincidentally seeing him DJ, supporting Kid Drama at one of the DrumObsession events in Poznan, way back in 2015.

Fast forward to 2024, Alegria delivers his forward-thinking ’Aurora Borealis’ EP. With different Poznan-based artists collaborating on three of the four tracks, the release stands as a sonically diverse contribution to the Locked Concept catalogue.

The title track - a joint effort with Tellus - kicked the entire effort off in the blissed out Autonomic style both artists love. Ewski, who used to be part of a legendary dubstep collective (Dungeon Beats), also found common ground with Alegria on ’The Healer’, which is the smoothest, and most delicate piece on the EP. ’Terra Incognita’ with Istota, who used to run a short-lived albeit stellar experimental drum & bass label Black Crane, is a 130 bpm bass-driven electro / breakbeat hybrid. Finally Voitek Noir joins Alegria on ’Englishman’ in a beautiful 80s-inspired Autonomic storytelling piece for the patient listener (wait for that second drop!).

They say good things come to those who wait and we’re glad Alegria and his friends took the time in crafting this EP.

Dialective comes correct on his debut EP on Soul Deep, crafting four deep Liquid cuts that represent his cutting edge sound.  His signature sound comes through on the title track, “Broken,” which features melancholic piano chords, cinematic pads, snappy drums, and a warm sub baseline that gives the song its soul.  “Twitch” is up next with its reverse pads, echoing synth stabs, ethereal vocals, and rolling drums.  Next, “Dance With You,” takes over and features a more uplifting vibe with its funky guitar riffs, positive vocals, jazzy stabs, and rolling sub bassline.  “Visuals,” finishes things off in style and features punchy breaks, eerie strings, steadily ticking percussion, and a smooth, sustained baseline.  Overall, Dialective packages up a perfectly curated EP that will capture the mind, body, and soul of the listener.  We hope you enjoy the release!
