We were honored to mark the debut EP of Yin Yang Audio. The stateside producer has since blossomed into a truly formidable force in the experimental bass realm. He returns once again to Onset with a 5 track offering of cinematic dystopian production. 'Return To Baseline' is a sprawling expedition from the rain-soaked cyberpunk streets of the megalopolis to the rusted wreckage of the irradiated wasteland.

Experimental bass and explosive, chugging rhythms, “Radiated” opens with a vengeance—its glitch and “rain-soaked cyberpunk” in full force. Within only five tracks, the stateside producer extracts infinite illbient-industrial realms and textured bass motifs (“Brazen Gamma”) as “Within Cells Interlinked” dives into ethereal and atmospheric dark (and emotive) tones to break the ice midway through. Dystopian sound worlds are culled on “From Substance To Dream,” a scorched electrical disturbance that’s both glitchy and unrelenting as “White Fountain” dives a few hundred kilometers into the Mariana Trench—its smudged low-end and sonar-sound escape is a powerhouse not to be missed.
