Welcome to Dark Sessions. In our fifteenth episode we present a special guest from Brazil. This is Nicolas Vloger. He is fascination for music stretches back far into his childhood. Born and raised in Londrina, southern Brazil, his musical journey first manifested itself in an admiration for punk and rock n’ roll, which inspired him in his early years to learn guitar. As a teenager, he discovered electronic music through underground parties, nurturing a passion for techno that has only grown over the years.
Inspired by the dirty rawness of old school techno and the hypnotic vibes of more contemporary tracks, Nicolas Vogler decided to pursue his newfound passion by DJing at small events in his hometown. Today, he is a producer, gaining renown through his own personal label NCLS as well as through recent releases on groove-focused techno labels such as Syxt Berlin, Drawner records, Malör Records, ESP Collective, Hemisferio Barcelona and Secession. Played by techno DJs worldwide, Nicolas’ tracks can be found in mixes by notable artists such as Setaoc Mass, Ben Sims, Arkan, Norman Nodge, Insolate, Temudo, and many others.

A high-spirited artist and indefatigable producer, Mathys reinvents the syncopation through a mental and rude 4-decks techno, embodying the intense, concentrated and visceral, inviting for emancipation.

From his EP released on Float last year to his new projects on Roomtrax and HAYES recently, his music is fiery and frenetic. This spatial dimension is essential to him as a musician, where tension and reflection are combined in the space he endlessly recreates through his sets.

Mathys Lenne is the one who sets the pace, pushing the melody to its rawest limits and establishing order with finesse

manu abeca is a 26-year-old musician from Argentina, inspired by a deep desire to mix and music that evokes strong emotions. From an early age, he has been fully engaged with music, gaining a wide range of experiences and a varied musical background.

Manu's relationship with music was further strengthened when he moved to Berlin in 2019. There, he discovered his characteristic sound: harmonious compositions, breaky grooves and hypnotic sounds. He is a resident DJ and curator for the music label and collective Balls Baile, in addition to his own creative pursuits, and lately has been focusing on music production, using his voice as an element to create deep and captivating melodies. The last track of this mix is an edit in which he shows that.

I am Cheyenne Loen, who embarked on my DJ journey in 2023, though my encounter with techno began in 2016. My festival debut also took place in 2023, at the paardenrave stage during the Blijdorp Festival. Despite my limited experience, I was given the opportunity to share my passion. Nowadays, my focus lies mainly on crafting podcasts and honing sets at home, aiming to return to the stage with even greater knowledge and skills.
