I got caught in the stream.
The river that wont run dry.
From sunlight to moonbeam,
a constant cycle until we die.

No dodging,  no evasion, no escape.
The river will run with me.
From the source seed to deaths mouth,
it carries life into the dead sea.

But the sea never fills.
Some souls fly to heaven whilst the rest drown.
And as the souls congregate at the gates,
they'll step through to fall back down,
and do it all over again.

~ Chapters ~

This story was translated by an ancient scribe and is told in different ways ways depending on the culture. The chapters have been lost but the story remains intact. 

~ Notes ~

Campfire Stories is a mix series by friends of Silent Season. The focus of the series is on storytelling through deeper electronic music. Artists weave together narratives using the emotional characteristics of ambient and techno music.

True originality isn’t always easy to find; being able to draw inspiration from whichever sources you’re pulled towards and then craft something that is identifiable as yours - full of character and purpose and always leaving the listener gagging for more is not an easy task (major understatement).

Step forward Pris - someone who seems to have nailed the task!

Over recent years, Pris has been absorbing inspiration and receiving close support and guidance from three major big guns on today’s scene - Sigha, Shifted and Svreca, all of whom, fortunately for us, know a good techno thang when it’s in front of them! Pris’ music has thus been brought to life on the likes of Avian and Semantica - solid credibility stamps right there - together with his own imprint, Resin (to name but a few). His outputs are consistently gritty - their very own beautiful blend of quirky, rhythmic and intense - perfect for a truly immersive raving experience!

As if this epic hour-long podcast (#060) wasn't enough, ahead of his appearance for On the 5th Day on June 16th when he wow'd room two, Pris kindly agreed to answer a few questions about his journey so far. Fabrizio Lapiana is a well-known fixture on the contemporary Italian techno scene. His musical career started in his hometown Rome where he began collecting vinyl and DJ’ing in the early 90’s. After being mainly active on the local scene, Fabrizio in 2008 started producing and founded his own imprint, the well renowned Attic Music. The label quickly expanded from hosting just Fabrizio’s work into also releasing other artists fitting his personal definition of techno. To date Fabrizio has over two handfuls of releases, Attic Music serves as home to some of these, but also other respected labels such as ARTS, Figure Jams and M_Rec Ltd to mention a few.
