We’re really thrilled to bring you a corker of a mix from DJ, producer and Affin label owner, Joachim Spieth.

Joachim’s long-lived journey with music spanning over the last two decades has seen him produce multiple albums, LP/EPs and countless remixes and contributions, while gigging in over 30 countries and growing Affin into one of the leading independent labels for deep hypnotic techno and ambient.

For us, a major part of the Spieth magic when it comes to DJ’ing is his mixing style, where he frequently relishes in longer transitions creating a seamless, hypnotic journey fully absorbing you in its magnetic ebb and flow.

In the studio, Spieth has become a master of beautiful, ethereal soundscapes and the more cerebral realms of techno; his productions in both techno and ambient are pretty sublime and more than well deserving of a place in your collection.

Adelia is a dj origin from Prague, actually based in Spain. She has been a dj since 2015. Her style began with dark techno but turned into deep techno music really fast. Adelia has a lot of experiences with her own events and gigs across Czech republic and Slovakia. She already made podcasts for names such as Oslated, radio Ozora, Bahn Barcelona and many more. Her touch for music is very specific with feelings from other galaxy.

The sun is back in Berlin and we are back as well after a longer break with an outstanding mix by The Alchemical Theory.

The Alchemical Theory project was born in 2018 from the creative union of three Italian producers. The identity of the project has been very influenced by the favorite sounds of the three artists, ranging from modular electronic sounds to much more atmospheric sounds. This project also comes from the love of mysticism, alchemy and nature. In each release they want to represent something that affects the listener's mind, reproducing a real mental journey.

Odd Hills is a Lithuanian born, London based techno DJ, co-founder of Temple.Recordings and event series Temple.Invites. 
His love for electronic music began from a young age, but it wasn’t until he emigrated to the UK that he identified his true sound and style. Incorporating dark and melodic elements with experimental sounds, his unique style truly takes listeners on a mesmerising journey. His hard work and dedication to the scene has led him to play across a range of clubs in London, as well as in Glasgow and Vilnius. 

The lack of physical events across the past few years has led to increased focus on the Temple.Prayer podcast series, which features a broad spectrum of techno styles, allowing up and coming DJs a chance to showcase their work, alongside international heavy-hitters.

Binary Thoughts is an electronic music duo from Macedonia, currently based in Skopje. Their name may speak for itself, but there is a much deeper meaning embedded within. Currently, they are exploring the vast horizons of deep and hypnotic soundscapes intending to create their unique blend of creativity to start producing their music.
The ancestral way of thinking has always been 'binary'. To understand nature and all its phenomena, we made a world of oppositions (day/night, sun/moon, male/female). Where the law of "all or nothing” rules, there is no in-between. But the reality is indeed always more complex and more interconnected than what our 'perception' of the world suggests.
This perception beyond this “all or nothing” connected Ana Bogatinovska and Jovana Gjorgievska. At first strangers to each other, they met at a music festival in their native country; And after a long discussion about electronic music, they've decided to do a project that will connect their somewhat different but similar taste in electronic music.
Their melancholic, delicate and hypnotic sounds use 'binary thinking' as a motor to press on to a third term or a higher category that represents a transcending reconciliation or unity: where thesis and antithesis are always harnessed to yield a synthesis. Where seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary: Yin and Yang.

NESS has been a basic constant in hypnotic and repetitive techno for many years. The DJ and producer with a background in sound engineering has continued to sharpen and refine his own style over the years. He has rightly been recognized worldwide for this and booked into the most relevant clubs and festivals in the world.

We are happy to have him on the Benzin Vol. 1 record as well as welcome him to ://about blank on Feb 25, where he will close the MDF floor with his distinctive sound.

And if that wasn't enough, he's recorded the second Benzin podcast for us, which will air exclusively on Radio Fratz on 17th of February 2023.

BLNDFLD is the project of Gurami Garibashvili, a young artist from Tbilisi (Georgia).
Despite he is a newcomer producer, he has already released music in labels such as NFEREE, BAHN· Records, Indefinite Pitch, BUDE Records, Crescent London, Unheard and Circular Limited.
He is also co-founder of the newborn Tbilisi based label, Spira Records.

Luigi Tozzi has calmly cemented his position as a leading DJ & producer of the deep techno scene for his distinct brand of techno that merges the sound of hypnotic techno with organic grooves from ambient and dub techno. Raised in Rome, he takes influence from the timeless Italian sound, which he’s further developed with an emotional, swirling, dubby atmosphere. There’s an unmistakable texture to his productions. While prolific, Tozzi has kept his output within a close family of labels. Swedish label Hypnus is key here, having released a large number of the producer’s EPs as well as his acclaimed debut album, Deep Blue: Volume 2. Alongside Hypnus, Tozzi has worked closely with Mental Modern and Outis Music, releasing both solo as well as collaborative work with the label’s founder, Dino Sabatini. Tozzi’s unswerving commitment to his sound, alongside his pensive and considered development as an artist has brought him to where he is today, with a touring schedule that’s taken him to some of the finest clubbing establishments around the world. Within this, he maintains a residency at Khidi, Tbilisi, which in recent years has emerged as one of the best clubbing destinations in Europe and is often coined “the new Berghain”. It’s through this platform that he brings his unique hybrid sound as both a DJ and producer, and can evolve and experiment as an artist. Other notable events that have seen Luigi capture hearts and mind include Parallel festival, Waking Life and Modem.
