Fresh off the back of his outstanding ‘Circuits’ collaboration with Joe Ford on Shogun Audio’s ‘Point Of Origin Vol. 4’ compilation, eclectic London-based producer Jolliffe arrives on Drum Army for his latest project - the fantastic ‘State Of Nature’ EP, which also kickstarts the Swiss imprint’s DRAMA series for 2021. Always branching into different styles and production divots, Jolliffe has been steadily advancing his astute aesthetic to great effect, and this is proved yet again here.

The Natty D-featured lead cut, ‘State Of Nature’, kicks things off with a huge statement of intent; Jolliffe flips into breakbeat-mode, delivering a high-octane cut of cascading ragga etches and hard, bass-driven swagger, powered by Natty D’s pinpoint vocal sampling that you can just visualise steaming straight out of the bassbins. ‘Fear Not’ takes a more 4x4-natured approach, taking its place as the most uncompromising, no-nonsense lick on this essential 3-tracker. Here, Jolliffe ups the ante, delivering a 5-minute rollout that’s plucked straight out of the very top drawer. ‘Chasing Storms’, which features the angelic vocals of Erika, closes things out beautifully with more luxurious jungle-inspired atmospherics, capping off a stellar collection all-round.

We present ‘Architextures III’, our second anniversary release.

Our already fetish release comes back again for the third time consecutive with a great elencus of artists for the insigne series of the firm. 

The spanish label put their strongest bet in artists already in the roster and a new face: Vulgarythm, producer from Gibraltar. Alongside him, the more than frequent Samath and Dedman, from the UK, Medok and Basskez, from Belgium, and Arxiva from Serbia. 

This release proposes the label’s essence in its purest form. As it’s usual coming from them, a minimal and dark background is continuous through all the listening where multitude of influences and fusion meet in a mental vortice. We can find small portraits of future and tech sound ith a lot of melodic charge in The Less You Know, a strong underground influence with the ‘Bristolest’ sound in Revolution or the quintessence of minimal drum and bass in Kujo.
