Welcome to the official remix competition for two tracks from Mr. Green's latest album 'Super Ape vs. Open Door' with musical legend Lee Scratch Perry. 

Mr. Green is a DJ/Producer hailing from NJ who has produced tracks for Snoop Dogg, Talib Kweli, Vinnie Paz, Jedi Mind Tricks and Westside Gunn among others. He's also behind VICE's 'Live From the Streets' series which explores inner city cultures through music. Lee "Scratch" Perry is an iconic music producer, singer and a pioneer of the development of dub music. He has worked with and produced for a variety of fellow iconic artists such as Bob Marley, Beastie Boys and The Clash and was sampled by Kanye West for his production for Jay-Z’s 'Lucifer.' 

Two beats are available for remix in this competition, and they're two sides of the same coin: the deep and dubby 'Callaloo' and the blazing 'Hot Fire', remix them separately or combine the sounds.

On U Sound was formed in the early-1980s.Initially Creation Rebel, Prince Far I, Bim Sherman, LondOn Underground and The Mothmen formed the ‘crew’ responsible for the first records.Having worked doing live shows for a long period, it was decided to change the emphasis to making records.This decision was due to the difficulty of making a success of any one group.It was logical, in order to make any money at all, to take members of various groups and create ‘new’ ones.This resulted in many recordings ranging from the New Age Steppers to African Head Charge, from Singer &amp; Players to Barmy Army, Mark Stewart &amp; Maffia, Akabu and Dr. Pablo &amp; Dub Syndicate to name a few.

These deranged records are not exactly commercial but would be if enough people got the opportunity to hear them.Anyway, never mind.Those who have heard and continued to buy or tape On U Sound records have seldom been disappointed.
