This is my DJ mix from the Daphni 'JIAOLONG' album release party at the Bussey Building in Peckham, London, UK.

It was recorded live and performed with 3 Pioneer CDJ 2000s playing digital files, an E&S DJR400 mixer and a Boss RE-20 Space Echo pedal.

All 7.5 hours are here - warts and all. Apologies for the occasionally crunchy sound quality and periodic lapses in mixing. It's only split into two parts because it was too long to upload as one file.

It was a fantastic night - thank you to all of you who were there and to Huntleys & Palmers for putting the night on. But as many of you were unable to attend for geographic and other reasons, I wanted to share it with you this way.

2009 startete das Label Plastic City eine neue Compilation-Serie mit nur Plastic-City-Veröffentlichungen, um die europäische Deep- und Tech-House-Szene neu zu entdecken. Hierfür mixte DJ Miguel vom Smalltown Collective die erste Episode “Zurich Session”. Für die zweite Schweizer Auskopplung „Helvetia“ setzten sich beide Musiker vom Smalltown Collective ins Studio, um die Tracks zu selektieren und zu mixen.

Seit dem ersten Release des Smalltown Collective brachte ihnen vor allem die Zusammenarbeit mit Plastic-City großen internationalen Respekt ein. Viele ihrer Tracks sind auf nationalen, wie auch internationalen Compilations zu finden. Darüber hinaus schlossen sie sich mit Get Physical's Lopazz zusammen und hatten mit ihm Releases auf „Bacteria Records“ oder Eyerer's and Romboy's „Session Deluxe“. Auch Release auf Labels wie Off Recordings, Noir Music oder Schallbox Records gehören in Ihre Discographie. Dass es genauso steil bergauf weiter geht für die Jungs aus der Schweiz zeigen die neusten Releases auf Schallbox Records, OFF Recordings, Noir Music und Plastic City Records.
Die CD-Release-Tour ist in fünf Schweizer Clubs geplant und zudem ein spezieller Gig im April im Tresor Berlin.

Mit ihrem Mix präsentieret das Musikcombo ein aktuelles Profil des neuesten Plastic-City-Katalogs. Die richtige Mischung zwischen deep und groovy, Pop und Underground, stark und aromatisch, dunkel und hell prägt den Mix. Kräftige und melodische Arrangements bestimmen den Plot während verspielte Bässe und verträumte Vocals von Zeit zu Zeit vorbeikommen. Es ist wirklich einfach sich zurückzulehnen und den Geist in diese blumige elektronische, wie auch realistische Welt fallen zu lassen. Die Tracks von Terry Lee Brown Junior, Nikola Gala, Gütezeichen, Silt, Strict Border, Aki Bergen, Bucher & Kessidis oder – natürlich – des Smalltown Collective drehen sich um warme pulsierende Clubnächte und fast schon verlorene Vorstellungen von Inspiration. Hessle Audio feat. Pearson Sound - 19 October 2020

On Video are a four piece from East London. They make garage influenced guitar pop with an emphasis on hype and brevity.

2019 saw them release their debut EP Clap Trap, recorded at The Premises in Hackney and mixed by Rich Cooper (Mystery Jets, Temper Trap). Having recently completed nationwide tours supporting Bloxx and Spector, 2020 will see them continue to bring their energetic live show to venues and festivals across the UK throughout the year.
