Art Valley 2023 - Konedawg's Saturday Morning Sesh

Art Valley has, in no time at all, shot straight to the top of my list of favourite festivals. The space, lineup, community, decor and sheer stoke are all exemplary. While there are definite movers and shakers that make a chunk of the magic happen, it really feels like every single person in the space came together to cultivate the flow and love and that made it so special.

I've been high on life ever since Art Valley, and it seems everyone I speak to about this party agrees. It's an honour and a privilege to be a part of this community and to be invited to play.

Thank you so much to everyone that came out to my set on Saturday morning. I'm so excited for the high vibes everyone brought, especially after everyone also stayed up late to catch Maxi close the stage on Friday evening/Saturday morning. 

Big love to The Professor and Doppel; stoked to be nestled in between you both on Saturday's flow.

ONYX @ GOD SAID NO - Opening Night, Blazing Swan 2018

I know you have experienced this, but for those who haven’t take a deep breath in and close your eyes, immerse yourself on a dance-floor that has one simple policy…freedom.  Butterz musical expression provides a spiritual pathway that enriches your soul and creates a beautiful shared experience, something we all have seen evolve over the past 20yrs.  

This dedicated father figure has plenty more wisdom & creativity to share as the launch of imprints, Melt & Buttervault keeps us glued for the next installation/music event as he gives back supporting local venues.

Once the dust settles, practice the above mentioned and join the journey with Butterz at 680 Ann St, a second home to most for the past 7yrs.

For the next hour he pays homage to some old favourites opening the vault up with prog/deep tech with some minimal notes but still something to shake to as usual.

I made a big effort to curate a set that was suitably twisted for my 9.30pm main stage slot on the 2nd of January New Years 2020-21 Twisted Frequency Festival.  I had very little time to get organised but it turned out to be personally one of my best sets yet! 😊 It was a real honor to follow NZ legend Barton Strom from Out of Sorts (originally Antix).  Such a buzz to play to such an epic crowd on such a big rig (especially in these crazy covid times!).  We have been so incredibly lucky to be able to party here in NZ this summer! 🙌💗🙌
