The Summer Sounds of OOO Records 2015 ( Preview )

Created accidentally as a result of a toxic waste spillage in the suburbs of Manchester, the origin of the rave, we BassJockeys (Daz & James) take pride in doing just that… raving. 

When we DJ it’s safe to say we like to keep the crowd on their toes as well as get much needed exercise in the DJ booth, or, and it has been known to happen a lot, joining in them raving our ankles off on the dance floor.

We firmly believe in putting the party first. We are ravers first, DJs second. We party hard with our fellow ravers and are not just their jukebox for the night. If you want a DJ to look good in a vest and sunglasses then don’t continue reading. We don’t stand there looking good, it’s impossible for James to do that anyway. We turn up, party, cause chaos, break the odd speaker, rave and, best of all, have fun doing it. DJing, we believe, wouldn’t be possible without the ravers in front of us so we like to keep them entertained and give them what they deserve – a good night, a rave and one hell of a party.

We’ve been on the circuit for a few years, playing in just about every big club Manchester and the North West has to offer as well as gigs nationally and internationally. It all started out when we bought a Tiesto Live In Concert DVD and decided ‘this is what we have to do’. We have always had a huge passion for dance music, even going back to airplane dancing to 2 Unlimited – No Limits. Having been raving together for years, seeing all our favourite DJs play, taking up the best hobby ever seemed like the easiest decision we have ever had to make. We purchased the most shocking decks one can imagine and eventually taught ourselves the art of mixing. It all seemed natural to us two.

Since then we have always mashed up our DJ sets playing the best in all things rave. Whether it’s electro, techno, trance, dubstep, DnB, house, if you can rave to it, we’ll play it. We will always try to be as creative as possible in our sets, doing live bootlegs and edits, fitting in as many genres as we can and so on. We’ve always been artistic and creative since we were kids, both doing well in the art and design fields in school and college. And that creativity has spread to our DJing, radio shows, podcasts and now our productions too. We can’t wait for the world to hear the sound of the BassJockeys. As a lot of our fellow ravers will testify, it sounds like one of the best parties you can hope you have.
