A Possibility.

A delay pedal and reverb for the original session. But when I was editing the recordings I accidentally put a resonator on the master. Happy accident.

A dawn chorus recorded almost exactly 1 year ago. May Day. Edited out the horrible blasted blasted compressor from the shop next door. A tax on the mind. We live in town.

Also bits from years ago run through the mill. Can’t remember what the original sounds are. Put some chorus on the bird song - glorious!

Mostly just sounds. Sines waves. The recordings get done a few times and they are never the same.

"The Observatory has had a really great first year, hosting many go-to mixes for me, so I feel humbled to round off the series in 2023. Thanks to Jay for the invite and to all the previous contributors for setting the bar so high.

As the world grows exponentially more complex and unjust, music is ever the stabilising force. In November this year I was invited by the Bleep43 crew to DJ alongside some incredible artists at an event in east London - this mix pulls together a lot of the music I played that day, including many tracks from the label I co-run, Frequency Domain. Recorded one afternoon while in bed with a cold, I hope it puts you in a good place."
