This is a Guillaume de Machaut, Messe de Nostre Dame remix with original composition.  Guillaume de Machaut (c. 1300–1377), a French composer and poet, composed this piece before 1365. Widely regarded as one of the masterpieces of medieval music, Machaut composed this Mass for the Cathedral of Notre-Dame at Reims.

This is a dedication to all the incredible cathedrals around the world that stand as some of the world's greatest achievements of art and architecture; whether you are believer in religion or a non-believer.  The ancient cathedrals of England, of Northern France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Sicily, the Baroque cathedrals of South America, and many individual cathedrals from Italy and other parts of Europe, are among the largest and finest buildings.  Many are renowned for their architecture or their decorative features such as sculpture, stained glass and frescos.

Many cathedrals, because of their large size and the fact that they often have towers, spires or domes, have until the 20th century, been the major landmarks in cities or in views across the countryside. 
Because many cathedrals took centuries to build and decorate, they constitute a major artistic investment for the city in which they stand. Not only may the building itself be architecturally significant, but often houses treasures such as stained glass, stone and wood statues, historic tombs, richly carved furniture and objects of both artistic and religious significance. Moreover, the cathedral often plays a major role in telling the story of the town, through its plaques, inscriptions, tombs, stained glass and paintings.

Deep In My Soul

Ken wrote this song (K2 and the Three, and K2 and the Four) a little more than three decades ago, and recorded it with a former band in '95. It's about being a guy who recovers a woman from a failed relationship, even though he doesn't expect it to last. He got the term from an episode of the '90s hit Roseanne, when one of the someone quipped after one of the daughters had been dumped by a bad boy, only to find a new boyfriend, that "it's not gonna last. He's her transition man." So, Ken, finding himself in a similar situation, picked up the term and ran with it.
  His original recording was a harder rock sounding song we used a template, but only loosely. Josh Clary (Entheogenic Psychonaught) tried to answer the question, what would Flea play on this? JJ Terrell came up with the fonky funk keys. Tez (Llanpsych) and Stephen (TexMex Shaman) came up with with the lightning and fire guitar leads. Ken, of course, did the driving drumming and essential percussion, as well as deftly adding the vocal harmonies. Chris (cgManess) added the really solid foundational rhythm guitar. He also performs the daunting task of singinging this one. On top of that, he also did a fantastic job of producing and mixing it, as well as coming up with the art.

Recalling some tequila, love words and more with them in that Ibiza bar, I wondered: “What if Pink Floyd met the spirit of Camarón de la Isla… in my bedroom?” I used lots of guitars, basses, etc. on a 12/8 beat, to enclose 3/4, 6/4 & 8/8 rhythms along.
