Oort is a London-based electronica collective founded in 2020 by musical maven Stuart Barker. After playing in assorted bands, Stuart switched his focus to producing and collaborating with friends old and new. Taking inspiration from many disperate genres such as surf, ethnic folk, grunge & 90s electronica, Oort fuses visceral rhythms with soulful indie guitar and haunting drones. The result is a multi-textured microcosm that draws you into its shadowy depths and brands you with its firey hooks. The unsettlingly seductive debut single Jackals will be released in July 2020, giving us a tantalising taste of what to expect from the album later this year.
