A lot of Japanese anime tend to be set in or around highschools and lives of highschool children, often in very ridiculous scenarios with said children having to face the perils of high school and preventing the apocalypse or just making sure their senpai notices them.

What's the deal with so many anime revolving around highschools. Could it be a plain obsession or means of making viewers relate to the stories?

Whats the deal with highschools in anime?

If you were around for last year's season of anime, you might have come across One Punch Man, an anime with the premise as ridiculous as its title.
From a very poorly drawn online manga to a very well animated anime with a kick-ass intro score, One Punch Man is very self aware of what its trying to show and be and tells us a very simple tale of what would happen if you could one punch anything to death.
