"The E411 highway shoots directly South East out of Brussels, spelling out two hours driving in a straight line until I reach Luxembourg. With the rush of Brussels behind me, I need a sound that keeps my mind engaged as the headlights, taillights and road signs stream past in the darkness. In this context, experimental techno takes on a greater significance as each beautifully realised fragment of sound design reflects the scattered light sources flickering by outside the car. Looming dub techno chords fill out the negative space, snaking arpeggios stimulate my synapses and dusty rhythms keep my eyes fixed on the road, but more importantly the warmth embedded in the music keeps me company until I finally reach my destination."
