Nachtstrom Schallplatten is thrilled to welcome Liza Aikin to the label family. Liza is an electronic music producer based in Berlin. Resident DJ at Tresor, she’s also a live act performer, dedicated to tailor made music production, always looking to recreate the sound she was missing in the dance floor, with field recordings and modular synthetisers, Liza’s music has previously been released on labels such as Mord Records, Emetic, Gegen Records Evar Records, Obscuur and Voxnox. Liza makes her debut on Nachtstrom Schallplatten in form of this beautifully crafted 4 track EP, which consists of 3 original productions and a remix by one of Berlin’s finest producers: the notorious Headless Horseman. The 12”-version will be coming on coloured vinyl with a fully printed sleeve and will be strictly limited to 100 copies! The release will hit the stores on the 6th of September. Oscillating between a futuristic, sophisticated and delicate techno, Liza Aikin’s music stands out thanks to the richness of raw sounds, which she intricately sculpts, resulting in experimental, hypnotic, and cinematic techno pieces. Polyrhythmic
structures, organic textures, and metallic reverberations define Liza Aikin’s music in the techno scene, distinguishing it with its muniqueness while seamlessly blending into the landscape.

Birmingham-born Berlin-based artist Rebekah is set to deliver a new release on Bas Mooy’s imprint MORD. Following her debut EP on Sonic Groove ‘Into The Black’ and her first full-length on Soma Records ‘Fear Paralysis’ last year, Rebekah is back continuing the narrative with a powerful double EP entitled ‘My Heart Bleeds Black’.

After presenting her Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 and hosting her Elements bi-monthly show on Rinse FM, the 20 plus years experienced DJ & producer has established her sound which is currently touring at the most important clubs & festivals of the underground circuit. This new body of work focuses on Rebekah’s output for the dance floor including 9 heavy tracks that could easily revitalise any stage. It’s not a surprise then that Rebekah is hosting “all night long” sets at some of the most emblematic venues in each country, as well as the Elements events in order to showcase her label’s vision.

‘My Heart Bleeds Black’ returns to Rebekah’s initial harder and darker tones featuring her signature noisy details of elaborated sound design which totally fits MORD’s music direction. Tracks like ‘End of Trauma’, ‘Waiting For You’ or ‘Halo Effect’ are great examples of Rebekah’s punishing style and illustrate her influences from the Birmingham industrial scene.

The Berlin-based producer, DJ and HAVEN label boss returns to his own imprint with “Oblivious Civics”, a dance floor smasher off the new v/a, Sardonic Tonality Vol. 3, the latest entry into HAVEN’s white label series. The comp also finds label regulars New Frames and Ayarcana plus introduces Barcelona’s Surit (NX1) into the mix for the first time. As usual, expect speaker destroying techno, industrial and rave strains that take the genres outside of the box for a fresh approach that the label has become known for over the past few years. Today we are thrilled to host Keepsakes’ entry which is an ominous piece that seeps in and quickly infects all it encounters.

Keepsakes - Oblivious Civics (HVNWHT005)

The label's first release seeks to offer an initiatory experience to @forbiddenteachings 's mission, namely to express the inexpressible. 

The A side of the record is body oriented and is introduced with NN's "The Blood Of A White Monark", a track characterised by its forceful rhythm, cinematic breakdown and strong synths. Mind I Matter dives deeper in the EBM spectrum with "Thelema", a track featuring a bassline that goes straight to the body and supported by an expertly crafted atmosphere, reminiscent of the notorious esoteric doctrine. 

The B side of the record is soul oriented and begins with Antechamber's "The Ephemeral Hallucinations", an atmospheric track that elevates the listener to a place where earthly senses become blurry. Nigh/T\mare concludes the compilation with his track "Unconscious Traction". It features a robust and hypnotic rhythm coupled with an intense atmosphere that leads the listener to a state where deeply buried emotions and desires could resurface.
