Following his debut EP svjat, Vienna-based producer ZLATO returns with Jivot – a two-track release rooted in house music, yet unhurried, minimal and emotionally grounded.

ZLATO is the club-focused alias of Tomá Ivanov, known from early 2010s techno duo KOMATON (Cocoon Compilation J), and later from his more experimental work as TOMÁ (Atom, FM4-featured). With ZLATO, he reconnects with the dancefloor – not through big-room gestures, but through groove, patience and detail.

Both tracks on Jivot lean into a stripped-back house aesthetic: warm low-end, tactile percussion, and subtle melodic shifts. There’s no rush here – just a steady pulse, designed to sit somewhere between introspection and movement.

Jivot continues the slow-burning release series started with svjat, further shaping ZLATO’s sonic language: soulful club music with a quiet sense of urgency.

The musical journeys of Dance Spirit and David Scuba alike have been defined by a unique sense of perpetual evolution and sonic exploration. Now through the infamously spirited Desert Hearts Records, these two scene dominating entities have joined forces to produce one of their most prized releases to date, the ‘Dust’ EP. 

As its name implies, Dust is primed for the most tribal dance floors of the international House and Techno communities. From the spaced out percussive wonder of the EP’s title track, to the throbbing yet playfully distorted vocal samples of ‘Cactus Cloud’, right into the woefully experimental synth work of ‘Mirage’, the release delivers a murky dreamstate of massive proportion. 

Hailing from Barcelona, Christopher Mohn and Reagan Denius of Dance Spirit bring to this collaboration years of experience and countless releases on premiere labels like Maison D’Etre, Superfreq, Kindisch, Culprit, Akbal Music, and Endless. Their refined take on Techno calls on heavy layering and effortlessly rolling low ends to produce minimal yet vibe ridden 4/4 masterpieces. A renowned live show has landed them at Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Piknik Electronic, City Fox, Sacbe and of course on the dusty helm of the Desert Hearts Festival. 

David Scuba’s impeccable taste for swelling basslines and crowd carrying anthems has earned him an industry wide reputation amongst fans and heads alike. His invaluable founding membership of Mr. C’s Superfreq has seen David’s role within the label and partysquad sprawl from resident DJ to promoter - carrying him from Detroit and Bogota to Mexico’s BPM Festival and fabric London. He too has flexed his irrefutable knowledge of the life atmosphere at Desert Hearts Festival, playing one of the most talked about sets of the Three Year Anniversary Festival this past November.

It's only been three years since I relocated from South Carolina to Los Angeles, and what a ride it's been! From the warehouses and clubs of LA and San Diego, to the California deserts, playas, and mountainous indian reservations...As a DJ making my way in the underground electronic music scene out here, I immediately fell in love with the inspiring and innovative sounds I'm regularly exposed to through this SoCal burner community. The beautifully supportive and collaborative world we are a part of out here never ceases to amaze me. I've been fortunate to be given the opportunity to produce and perform music for such welcoming and enthusiastic tribes, and am honored to be affiliated with and/or represented by several extraordinary collectives and labels (including DeepAura, Noise Revolt, Triptych, Wülfpack, and more). I discovered Wülfpack early on through several of my dear friends that are represented by the label, including Disco Aliens and Drew Blyther. After going to a few of their live shows, I quickly became an adamant supporter and have thoroughly enjoyed following their progress. Over the last few years I've gotten to know the members of Wülfpack and am happy to be affiliated and considered part of the Wülfpack family. This recorded Wülfcast is very special to me, and I welcomed the opportunity to go through such a journey of my sounds as an artist and pay homage to the many artists old and new that I follow and admire. In this mix, I was really feeling the experimental deep and dark creature hour styles, the tribal groovy psychedelic, the wild chuggy drivers, and the magical otherworldly vibes... Open Records is a techno, house and electronica imprint based out of the sunny state of Queensland, Australia. Founded in the lush tropical paradise of Cairns in 2007 and now managed out of the bustling metropolis of Brisbane, Open has grown into a respected and prolific label with more than 70 releases from artists in all corners of the globe.

The Open sound is just that. Over the years we have released everything from deep, organic, progressive and tech house, to staunch minimal, hypnotic tribal, driving techno and abstract electronica. What has remained constant is our desire to represent the intelligent, groovy, dancefloor-oriented sound of the Australian festival and party culture, with a little help from our friends around the world, too.

Along the way we've managed to top the Beatport charts, featured in the playlists of some of the world's biggest DJs and radio shows and helped launch the career of some of Australia's most talented artists. Not bad for a crazy idea hatched in a small city in regional Australia! Big respect to everyone who has supported us on our journey, we wouldn't be where we are today without you.
