In June of 2010, we spent a weekend at a cabin in the woods at a lake recording our first cuts. We moved quickly but didn't quite finish, so the vocals were recorded over a few nights in July in a tiny spare room of a small house. We hope you enjoy them.

Take Back the City

The Fight are a rock &amp; roll band with soul undertones from the City of Champions.  They are blue collar gentlemen who have drawn comparisons to Bruce Springsteen, The Constantines, a happier Joy Division, and Buddy Holly.  The Fight's debut LP 'New Young Electric' was recorded at night in the loft of a warehouse in Calgary over a cold week in January, with the vocals being tracked in the spare bedroom of a house.  The result is a thirteen track album that touches on the human condition, that speaks of hope and heartbreak.  'New Young Electric' was released on The Fight's own label Paperbird Music digitally on July 5, with 180gram vinyl to be released in late summer 2011.
