Organized by Melifera since 2016, La Vallée Électrique festival is an event that unites a vibrant community around electrifying music and visual installations. This utopian haven is a creative space based on three concepts: human beings, nature, and technology

_A few memories from Caldera about our festival La Vallée Électrique 2023:

“I really wanted to go back to southern France after I haven't been there for a long time and felt very fortunate that it has been made possible by the Melifera crew this year in their beautiful valley. I felt inspired by being in a place with so many like-minded people and connecting to many people from all over the world. Much love to my friend Courtney who came along from Brighton for this and to everyone else we've met there.”

Bas Dobbelaer (@bas-dobbelaer). Floating between energies with odd time signatures and atmospheric sounds, leaning towards the deeper shades of techno. With appearances at AD 93, Appian Sounds, On Board Music, Lowless and his collaborations with Vand for Something Happening Somewhere he is building on his own sonic palette. Mostra (@mostrabcn) is an independent small-format festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music that was born as an alternative to the macro-festivals and mass, commercial events that are held in the city of Barcelona. Mostra 2024 will take place from 28 to 31 March in Barcelona, featuring a total of 32 artists across two distinctive venues of the city.

"This mix contains several of my current favorite minimal and techno records and also several classic gems of the genre.

For personal reasons, it was recorded at night, with the volume low on the speakers, which complicated the process a bit. It's not my most technically perfect session, but, on the other hand, the situation forced me to make a kind of blend and speech without stridency and this has built a very interesting sleepy atmosphere.

It's the music I could play nowadays at an after hour club and the way I would play it."

As the autumn season gently unfurls, bringing cooler days and longer nights, we often find ourselves drawn indoors, where the world slows down just a bit. This time of year invites moments of introspection and the soothing balm of stress relief, creating the perfect opportunity to immerse ourselves in calming and tranquil sounds. 

Unrush is pleased to welcome Low Velocity Soundsystem from Leipzig & Halle to this journey. Since debuting in 2018 as part of the event series “Time To Get Lost” in Halle, LVS has cultivated a space beyond the dance floor, inspired by the legendary 90s chill-out rooms. Gregor and John have created a musical environment where ambient textures converge with trip-hop, drone, techno, and dub, revealing a deep appreciation for atmosphere and mood.

Gregor is part of the team at Connwax, which hosts a long-standing label night at Leipzig’s IfZ, while John hosts the Folding Realities radio show on Callshop Radio, also working as a live-act and producer. Both bring their unique personalities to the track selection, blending their expansive music collections with a genuine and passionate spirit.

This set reflects their vibe—a unique blend of ambient-dub, drawing subtle connections to the club scene, and tinged with a delicate hint of melancholy. Without much discussion beforehand, they found themselves aligned, crafting a curation that speaks to the introspective side of the season. So sit back, breathe deeply, and let the sounds guide you through a moment of calm...
