A short emotional piece conveying a feeling of rise, ascension, climbing, achievement, effort, surpass oneself.
Intro with a repetitive motif on the piano, doubled by a clarinet, then pizzicato violins, and a string ensemble on the climax. Ending has the solo piano again, with a ritenuto.

Rising light

Repetitive progressive piece, with a quiet intro on piano and acoustic guitar, followed by Mellotron strings and voices. The climax has electric bass and subtle Rhodes and synthetic tubular bells. Sharp ending, without a fade out.

An emotional instrumental neo-classical piece that evokes a hopeful mood, efforts that pay off, happy ending, outcome of a difficult situation, achievements.
First half is piano solo with a repetitive melody, then arpeggiated strings, a cello and a celesta fade in gradually to support the piano. The second part rises in intensity until the sharp ending, without a fade out.

Crossing a dark corridor, distressing, emptiness, echoes, fear, anguish, thriller. Deserted place, wide open spaces, alone in the world, lack of life. Oppressive atmosphere. Synthetic music, drumless, no tempo. Contrast between bass and treble. Calms down at 1'55 then rises again.

Dark Tunnel

Pure salsa ambience on a dancey house beat. Brass, percussions, typical salsa piano, funky electric guitar. Sunny beach, relaxed, cocktail with friends, dance all night.

Downtempo with pads, synths, and TR-909. Quiet pace, as if you were floating among little fluffy clouds.

Earthbound

A short piece for a dark or horror movie scene. Lonely place, desolate forest, nobody around, desert place. Strings throughout (chords, solo and ostinato), light timpani, ostinato melody played by a music box. The piece gradually and subtly slows down (ritenuto) at the very end.

Pièce pour piano seul, tranquille, répétitive, empreinte de nostalgie, semblable à certains titres de Yann Tiersen. Début calme, puis légère agitation dans le jeu. Termine sur une note en suspens.

Quiet, slow-paced solo piano piece, calm and repetitive. Nostalgic mood, similar to a few tracks from Yann Tiersen. Starts calmly, then playing gets a little agitated. Ends on a suspended note.

Maryland

I'm a French independent artist focusing on subtle electronic music. Formerly a keyboardist in several amateur bands, I never really left the world of machines. I won a few sound design competitions and custom-made music contests.
I'm also a Certified Artist on the French website beMYsound (specialized in sync music for websites, movies, games and multimedia projects), and I have a handful of downtempo/chillout/ambient tracks featured on various playlists on the famous Soma FM webradio.
