Operation O List

A musical piece for a concept of Unclearpicture. In this composition, the atmosphere offers an impression of escape by the underlying rhythm of the percussions which seems to give a kind of tempo to the quest. It is a step as if vertigo surprised the impossible immobility of the one who seeks to leave or perhaps find himself. Moreover, the rhythms are entangled where simply some chords seem to punctuate the composition. A kind of slow and heavy movement.

Dans cette composition, l'ambiance offre une impression de fuite de par le rythme sous-jacent des percussions qui semble donner une sorte de tempo à la quête. C'est un pas comme si le vertige surprenait l'immobilité impossible de celui ou celle qui cherche à partir ou se retrouver peut-être. D'ailleurs les rythmes s'enchevêtrent là où simplement quelques accords semblent ponctuer la composition. Une sorte de mouvement lent et pesant.

I recently learned that bees twerk. When bees locate nectar or pollen, they return to the hive and communicate — through a series of dance moves including the waggle or twerk — where and how far to fly to make a beeline to their prize. 

With a nod to Rimsky-Korsakov, I’ve used a lot of synths to create Beeline for some electro-twerking music.

This music (Music Africana) is a cry for uhuru (freedom) against the grip of poor governance. It speaks for ndugu zetu (our brothers and sisters) whose liberty is stifled by selfish leaders. Je kuhusu (what about?) their struggles? These sounds challenge the status quo, questioning kuhusu uhuru (the reality of freedom) when corruption reigns. This is a soundtrack for liberation, echoing the yearning of kuhusu ndugu zetu (about our people) for true freedom and justice. Feel the urgency, hear the call for change! A few of the terms in the lyrics was done in swahilii.
