Over the past year, Celadon (a.k.a. Amanda), has graced the capital's latest household party, Stilio, with her unique, trippy, deep and carefully selected downtempo vibes and established herself as a DJ-to-watch in the process. Rochelle (@kittinrochelle) is a Barcelona-based artist, by way of Houston → New York. She has been a dynamic force in the community for over 15 years, championing dance floors and DJ booths alike. Embracing music that defies traditional boundaries, Rochelle explores soundscapes that travel through the raw energy of acid, breaks, garage, electro and house, lately slowing into deep, psychedelic downtempo that bends time and blurs the edges of perception. Each track is found through patient digging, chosen for the way it stirs something just out of reach. Her sets unfold with quiet intent, guiding the room through shifting narratives and unspoken connections. Rochelle finds versatility shaped by perspective, every selection made with purpose; weaving through moods that feel surprising yet precise.

mandarín - Take A Trip

This mix is a 3-hour journey I created as a kind of emotional and symbolic voyage — something that moves through darkness into light, into fire, and finally into a slow and tender resolution. 
It’s divided into four acts, each rooted in a different archetype, mood, and sound world. The genres shift along the way — from dark ambient and drone, through deep dubstep, experimental 170 DnB and (dub) techno, with touches of industrial and spoken word — but the emotional progression and sudden change of the genre and pace is deliberate and carefully woven.

ACT I - This act is the fall — a confrontation with fear, grief, the subconscious, and the underworld. It's dense and shadowy, drawing from darker ambient, experimental textures, and raw elements.
It’s about our dark shadow, sitting with discomfort, loss, and the unknown — allowing yourself to be undone.

ACT II - The second act is a glimmer — the first light after darkness. A quiet sense of hope, fragility, and openness appears. Sounds become airier, lighter, more spacious. This act is the breath after grief — not joy yet, but the possibility of it.

ACT III - This is the moment of arrival — fierce love, clarity, aliveness. The music becomes warmer, more energetic, rhythmic. Dub techno pulses emerge, fierce halftime grooves, emotionally expressive melodies. This act is about empowerment, connection, and the fire of selfhood.

ACT IV - The final act is a soft landing — the high fades into reflection and wisdom. It’s melancholic, spacious, and wise. The energy slows but doesn't vanish; it lingers like embers. Spoken word weaves through some of this, offering final thoughts, memory, and insight.
It’s the echo of the journey — not an end, but a return.

The mix is meant to be a whole journey — emotional, symbolic, and immersive — and I’d love for it to be felt that way rather than deconstructed by breaking apart the tracklist.



Take A Trip with mandarín

As summer's warmth dissolves into twilight, grey clouds gather on the horizon, bearing the whispers of rain and the pine forest's scent yields to the caress of a fresh breeze. We are delighted to unveil Estimulo's latest mix for Deep Breakfast Series, a sonic journey to envelop your senses.

Estimulo is an avid record digger and die-hard music aficionado with extensive vaults of records since the late 80s. In his club DJ sets he’s on the lookout for those special moments of dancefloor salvation, oscillating between Deep House and Techno’s classics and more obscure electronic treasures, with splashes of Electro & Disco / Funk and with an extended broad perspective on genres and epochs not forgetting recent and upcoming gems. It’s not purely a retrofuturistic thing, rather he strives to connect music of different epochs to form a holistic flow. His special passion is to make his own edits / versions of the music he loves. With his label Mixomat Recordings (founded in 2004) he has been putting out early releases by artists such as
Marco Nega, immer.Chic (Workshop), Rezkar (Running Back, Meakusma) and Serendipity/Rai Scott (Inner Shift Music / 2DeepSoul).
His weekly Radio Show (EstimuloShow @ mixomat.org since 2007, also on Cashmere Radio since 2017) is regarded as a mainstay by many in the scene.
The last years have seen Estimulo taking the vibe to places like the US, Chile, Argentina, Australia, UK, France, Canada, Norway, Poland, Ukraine and Jordan on his DJ tours.
Estimulo used to co-run the futura event agency and DJ crew, that has been causing some stir in the Berlin scene with their proceedings in beloved underground spots like ://about blank, Paloma, Horst and Chez Jacki/Maria am Ostbahnhof.

About the mix he said:
"It's like a sequence of childhood memories. You close your eyes and remember science fiction films with the infinite universe and thousands of stars, a summer beach with your parents and siblings, then a spaceship with robots running around excitedly and making beeping noises. A few minutes later, you're beamed back to Earth and standing on the top of a mountain, gazing down into the wide valley, then a long walk through the forest along a mountain river. Or you hear the large church organ. In the end, it's all about aural beauty. I invite this music to give me and all listeners goosebumps. Nostalgia is only part of the equation here; i reckon timelessness is even more important. I hope you enjoy the journey through my memories and moods."

Deep Breakfast 324 ~ Estimulo

Madrid's F-on is a much beloved figure within the Spanish scene, known for his elegant all-vinyl sets and curation behind the brilliant Alpenglühen label among so much more. We stayed in touch after his particularly beautiful set at 2017’s Paral·lel Festival, and I've been looking forward to one day sharing this episode of the series since. Alfonso’s mix is uncanny in its precision and demonstrates a prowess behind the decks that few can match, a soft palette built through veteran and timeless selection. Two hours in and out of focus like rippling dust through which the flow of time slows, a stasis in the stream. Thanks Alfonso!

Sure Thing Mix 145: F-on

Summer is drawing to an end and with that comes colder nights. So it’s only fitting that Vinsen takes over for one of our last summer shows with the warmth we’ve started get familiar with. Like an orange sunset sinking into the sea and the final glow that touches our soul. Woven together as a narrative to remember the holidays, festivals and precious moments with friends. One last sweet cocktail and then it’s back to clubs and techno. You can see Vinsen back in the club during ADE on October 24th at Pintai in Multipla.

Don’t have many rules in life but one of them is that whenever a new mix by Pjenne comes out, to stop what I’m doing immediately and put it on. And probably am not alone here. 

Like many people, Pjenne’s mixes have been go-to’s, essential and always-classy additions to a landscape of noise and clutter. 

Like your favourite mix CD that never left the space•ship stereo. And no matter how many times you listen, it seems to get better and better with each play. They’re timeless, they’re crucial and the amount of care and love poured into each one is apparent as soon as you hear the first blend. 

Often compiled and cooked up over the course of a couple of years, they have the kind of craft and expertise that can only come from doing a weekly radio show for over 6 years, being a staple of her local Naarm scene and being an all-round legend. We’re pleased to report this mix is no different and has been on repeat since it arrived. 

Appreciate this is a bit of a gushy write up, but sometimes you’ve got to say it how it is, and anyone who’s a Pjenne Ultra will understand what a big day this is at space•lab HQ.

Nostoi is an experimental electronic music project with a downtempo soul, born in Milan and shaped around the idea of “returning.” The name refers to the ancient Greek tales of the heroes’ journeys back from the Trojan War, and at the same time echoes the origin of the word nostalgia — an emotional dimension that defines the project’s aesthetic.

With I’ll Take You Over, the first single released by Social Science and the lead preview of the upcoming EP Ithaki, Nostoi introduces its sonic universe with clarity and impact.
The track serves as a true artistic manifesto: enveloping, refined melodies, an incisive rhythmic pulse, and meticulous sound design that together create a deeply evocative and recognizable sonic identity.

Its final crescendo becomes an invitation to surrender, to be carried along the emotional journey Nostoi crafts note by note — a path guiding the listener toward a new step in their own inner evolution.
