James Cannon, aka DJ OPIUM, is a bass music DJ from Bristol currently based in Leeds. With a passion for dance music since childhood, DJ OPIUM is known for his eclectic blends of UK bass music flavors. Having performed at various bass music events in Southampton and Bristol since 2016, DJ OPIUM's knowledge and love for dance music extends into his professional work as a Postgraduate Researcher in Music Psychology at the University of Leeds, researching the impact of electronic dance music on movement, emotion, and social connection.
