On Tuesday, September 10, 2019, The Opportunity Agenda hosted a press telebriefing with three experts in immigration rights and criminal justice, to outline policy questions the ten Democratic candidates should answer during the September 12 debate in Houston. Queen Adesuyi, policy coordinator at Drug Policy Alliance, DeAnna Hoskins, president and CEO of JustLeadershipUSA, and Patrice Lawrence, co-director of the UndocuBlack Network, discussed the intersection of drug policy, criminal justice and immigration issues that candidates have failed to address, with particular focus on drug decriminalization efforts.

We have it in our power as a nation to expand opportunity for all.  Doing so requires working to turn our beliefs and aspirations into public support for fundamental change.
