The third part of the Mycology series sees Emile Facey expand the earthy and deep electro sound world he forged with the first two instalments. Alongside the emotional dancefloor journeys we expect from him, each side of the record concludes with an experimental, beatless piece that conjures a twilight walk discovering fungi in the UK’s ancient woodland. Unfolding over 30 minutes, the six track mini-album sees Plant43 returning to the veteran electro label AC Records (this marks their 39th release) who present their catalogue in great style. Mycology 3 has a hand-stamped sleeve and comes in both black and a beautifully ethereal misty green, semi-transparent vinyl which reflects the mysterious atmosphere of the music and its mycological inspiration perfectly.
