"Marrow Call" is the debut album of virtual dark pop artist Maleena Cassius. Maleena (30), introduces us to her bleak perspective on the world, shares intimate truths, and relatable fears. Maleena Cassius is a flawed, paranoid, and vulnerable woman who takes you by the hand on a brilliant existential journey. She airs her grievances with old flames and even confronts her mother with unabashed truth. Maleena Cassius's will to forgive and even believe in love are waning with each failed connection. Each new spark is stamped out by the winter of her past or betrayal and she aches for true comfort. Maleena has been estranged from her mother for six years and during that time has been on a downward spiral of failed personal and romantic relationships. Half of her being reaches out into the void for interaction and equal love, while the other half slips into the embrace of solitude, fantasy, and delusion. Maleena Cassius has given up on conventional love with organic human beings and elects to use advanced technology to scan her brain and design her perfect 3D printed lover. Her new age relationship with a synthetic being brings it's own struggles relating to: mortality, authenticity, and fantasy.
