I got other things to do like spend money & go rot my mind
& watch the idiot box after a long day of 9 to 5
I just sit there & time just flies, trust me, 
that's the wrong way to mind your lives
Imagine being a resident in a country where disagreeing with your president
Meant you had to flee & be hunted, Freedom of expression, isn't that something?
If you got caught by henchmen for presidential dissension
& you were tossed in a wretched prison
Tortured & questioned till you forcefully admitted 
To things you never actually did or said? Pain gets to your head so quickly
& you just want to block it as swiftly as possible, so you'll say anything to stop it
But suddenly you're faced with impossible charges
Disgraced in a lawless fashion, paraded in court for short lapses of time
Before you're thrown in a dark cell for no actual crime
The fact is this is no dark tale from the back of my mind
It's reality in too many cases not fiction
You may think it's a fallacy, but there's too many faceless victims
You can trace them in the millions
And basically they're all civilians like you
Some of them are even Canadian citizens
It's crazy how the shady the system is in so many countries, 
they're living in Hell
But with your assistance & help
The hunter can be the hunted
We can uncover their dungeons 
& free those that they've shunned, kin

I'm simply saying that there is a way to be sane. I'm saying that you can get rid of all this insanity created by the past in you. Just by being a simple witness of your thought processes, that is my method of meditation. It is not a prayer because there is no thought to pray. It is simply sitting silently witnessing the thoughts passing before you, just witnessing, not interfering, not even judging. The moment you judge you have lost the pure witness. The moment you say this is good, this is bad, you have already jumped into the thought process. It takes a little time to create a gap between the witness and the mind, but once the gap is there you are in for a great surprise: You are not the mind! You are the witness, a watcher, and this process of watching is the very alchemy of real religion because as you become more and more deeply rooted in witnessing, thoughts start disappearing and a moment comes, there is no thought at all. You are, but the mind is utterly empty. That's the moment of enlightenment. That is the moment when you become for the first time unconditioned, sane, really free human being.
