Milan based DJ & producer @nICo_sound explores a broad range of music styles, from slow electronica, tribal rhythms to dark disco and techno. After his first release on Glasgow imprint Huntleys&Palmers, he released on Inside Out Records and more recently on Lyon label Hard Fist Records.

The track could be described as slow warped techno, like a distant vision of abandoned buildings, with menace around every corner and freaky synth motifs that hook you in ever further.

The words were hard to come by, she'd sat in silence for what felt like hours trying to articulate herself but it was impossible: words continued to fail her. She stared at a fixed point on the wall, unable to pull her gaze away, hoping this focus would bring with it a sudden brainwave. His eyes burned into the back of her head, his patience wearing thin now. She knew talking was the only logical solution, but it was easier said than done.

Oddball Fantasies is a new label springing up from Brussels way. For their inaugural release they've called on the talents of Invisible Inc and Chambre Noir producer Puma & The Dolphin who delivers an eponymous four-tracker of organic, rhythmic delights. Described as "a ritual dance to take you to other worlds", the collection of psychedelic slow burners and enchanting grooves pull from dub and leftfield, and are just as suited for home listening as soundtracking hazy late nights on the dance floors.

Year 2020 was with no doubts a crucial moment for many. A time were the non-stopping agony of human activity would be stopped with no previous warn and when the lights did went down for an indefinite time. For the first time any human could cultivate empathy from a common episode and dim any personal interest in the hope of driving society in new era of deep reflection and a common dance, again, just like all our ancestors did it thousands of years ago around nature and around the fire.

This compilation sets room for a ritual in the world's commong tongue (music) and the many dialects of its artists, brighten up by the flames of connection in the common celebration of music and tales in the woods. Look for the fire, follow the fire. The Bonfire.

"Medhead" is Cosmo Vitelli’s third solo album. Featuring eight cuts, five of them being recorded in collaboration with Truus de Groot, lead singer of Dutch new/no-wave outfit Plus Instruments, ‘Medhead’ is a statement to the power of electronic language as a summoner of deep-laid, recursive narratives. Emancipated from normative restraints and nonsensical branding, the album spans everything from slo-drip kraut to wasted disco, through murky motel-pop, neo-kosmische, hip-hop, industrial and, quite obviously, a healthy dose of reconfigured indie-rock motifs. Junto Club return!

Crafted in a southside studio in Glasgow, Junto Club's 'Golden Apple' is a sonic journey set to release on Optimo Music. 

For the past ten years, Junto Club have continued to defy genre boundaries while producing a sound that is distinctively their own. ‘Golden Apple’ continues in this vein, capturing a range of styles, from the fast-paced title track to the dub-inspired 'San Worm' and the pop hook of 'The Answer.' Initial drafts, chaotic and abstract, were brought to life at Green Door Studio before being sent to Emily and Stu Evans in the Californian desert for the final mix and arrangement. Sascha Funke then took on the mission of reimagining ‘Golden Apple’ towards a more hynoptic groove. 

Drawing inspiration from the dystopian future that climate breakdown forewarns, 'Golden Apple' is a compact genre shifting creation that speaks to our times.

Dollkraut's grainy, fuzzy sound turned heads last year with the release of his first LP, 'Schimanski's Black Lullabiesi. Last year also saw him inaugurate the Dutch label Charlois with his 'Blackbox' EP, which he's following up with the release of 'Hornet Green' on 1st October. POW! To celebrate the upcoming release, we're bringing you the first TWO tracks from the EP right here and we thought it would only be fair to have a chat with Dollkraut as well to give us an insight into his world...

We were quite fan of mid 2000's Padded Cell releases on D.C Recordings at LYO and followed Richard Sen solo efforts since then. Richard Sen's last outing on [Emotional] Especial - the bleep revival brilliance of "Songs of Pressure" - was something of a stone cold killer, so hopes are naturally high for this belated follow-up. "Resistance Through Rituals" here premiered digs deep for inspiration, doffing a cap to the starry futurism of Detroit, psychedelic acid and the drum-machine driven jack of early Chicago house. Vinyls, and its splendid artwork, will land early march in all fine purveyors retailers of good music

The Confidence Man (Sons Of Slough Remix)

Antoine Harispurus was raised by a robot called V.I.C.T.O.R. The robot took care of little Antoine and early on he gave him music lessons and also the right equipment, for example a Roland 808. Robotic, mechanical precision became significant for Antoines music and soon he left the safety of his mothers toy store for the huge European club scene under his new pseudonym ”Golden Bug”. This year he releases two songs as a 7” vinyl and in digital format on Höga Nord Rekords.  On the B-side ”Hitodama”, guest vocalist Jessica Ho is plays with her voice in a bubbly way above Golden Bugs characteristic metallic, world music influenced sounds and beats. The music would fit perfectly in a vast alien mountain landscape. In conclusion, the music on this 7” is the sound of human and robot in close symbiosis - Golden Bug is music by robot and human for robot and human.
