Notorious B.I.G. - Hypnotize (Benedikt Frey's Downtown Ghetto Edit)

Calypso is the new label from Iñigo Vontier (Mx) and Thomass Jackson (Arg) which will focus on promoting latinamerican artists. With a solid background from both artists releasing on labels like Turbo, Correspondant, Gomma, Her Majestys Ship, My Favorite Robot and many more, Calypso promesses to deliver an inmersion into some of the best artists of the underground latinamerican electronic scene. 
For the first track on the B-Side Thomass Jackson gives us "Fantomas", a creepy funky track that will fit perfectly for Dracula's birthday with dirty vocals and misterious samples. The full release will also come wth tracks from Iñigo Vontier and up-and-coming producers Colossio and Mendrix both hailing from Mexico.
The first 12" will see the light somewhere in the beggining of June.

2017 saw the arrival of Pin Up Club here at the Bordello with a superb three tracker, Friends of the Vortex. Now the Dutch partnership are back. This time a quartet of tracks has been selected to produce The Forever Machine. The bold bars of Friends of the Vortex, the romantic rushes and soundtrack silhouettes are all present with new elements being introduced to further develop a truly unique style. Breathy vocals and melancholy are countered by warm synthlines in the brooding “Valis” before the lonesome “Is There Anybody Out There?” blooms into a daringly bright work of disco dimensions. Opening the flip is the title piece. Smouldering, “The Forever Machine” burns with quivering chords that rise ever skyward on a column of tight rhythms as lyrics spiral ever upward. “A Deepness In The Sky” is a perfect illustration of Pin Up Club’s ability to transform burgeoning sombre sounds into tempered elation, rumbling strings and fragile percussion intermingling for a heady finale. Well if you want to feel uncomfortable in a jacuzzi then this is the track for you.  Paradise Palms presents Pool Shark, from the wonderful Jacuzzi King The man who wants it all. He wants it all but he is giving it to you both barrels with this wonky, analogue jam which fuses out of tune guitar sounds and a melting arp which shakes your hips at something close to 9.2 on the richter scale. Hats cut in and out amongst the slow paced mayhem. 
A tune so sexy, you want to take it home to your parents after putting a ring on it only to stop off in a layby for a quick fumble in the back seat. And after all, why not? You dirty buggers.

After playing in the city many times and hosted a legendary party at Opium Club, the relationship between Calypso and Vilnius is quite strong. This is why they invited local talent Plot Pilot to share a release with label boss Thomass Jackson for the next "Correcciones". 
The A side is Jackson's time to deliver his two edits. First one is a bongo driven, afro robotic vocals, breakish trance extravaganza. While the second one goes straight for the chin with it's vocals who comand you to work work work ! 
The lithuanian boys deliver a cosmic track full of psychedelic guitars and bleepy noises on their first one and for the second one, and the one we are premiering here, they pay tribute to the lithuanian seaside where every summer the famous Ant Bangos festival takes place.
