Soela releases the first single from her upcoming album Dark Portrait on Scissor & Thread - Even If I Ask You Stay. 

Russian born Berlin based Elina Shorokhova has made a transition from pianist and vocalist into electronic music, balancing her ear for melody and musicality.

With this single, we get to see a very vulnerable side of Soela; "Even If I Ask You To Stay has several meanings for me. The most direct one is about an abusive relationship where you're already openly asking the person to leave, but are so attached that you want them to stay. The second meaning is with my struggle with depression. My experience is that it takes a lot of inner strength to heal from depression, and sometimes you're still powerless against the disease. So it stays with you again and again”.
 
The track itself merges a skittering rhythm, gorgeously melancholic piano and string sections with Soela's vocals that cut deep - resulting in a beautifully realized and powerful composition

Dream Chimney proudly presents "Tidal Figures," the new EP from Paris based producer Sim Fossil. The release is a deep dive into cosmic soundscapes, synth melodies, heavy basslines weaving together elements of house, nu-beat, and ambient into a truly unique, low-BPM fusion. Across four original tracks, "Tidal Figures" explores a quiet duality of space and time. "Echo Marina" and "Nyrosine" bask in a soft, melodic glow, while "Null Meridian" and "Backcurrent" plunge listeners into a darker, even slower synthetic haze. The tracks are all driven by deep, slow basslines and shimmering synths that feel heavy and submerged, reminiscent of a half-speed Harold Faltermeyer adrift in an underwater voyage.

Adding to the EP's allure, "Tidal Figures" features two remixes from revered artists Max Essa and Project Sandro. Balearic luminary Max Essa takes on "Echo Marina," infusing it with his signature magic touch while preserving its gentle tempo. Powerdance is a collective formed by Luke Solomon and Nick Maurer formed as a reaction to bland soul less dance music that seems to infiltrating nightclubs the world over.

Luke and Nicks comradely stems back many many years to their association with the Classic Music Company - a label formed by Derrick Carter and Luke.

Nick Maurer was one half of the then prolific Greens Keepers.

This EP for Optimo Trax features the wigged epically funkoid gem "Mysterious Space Plane"; who doesn't like songs about space? On the other side is the modern hyper jacking "More Fire". Alongside these are a reprise of "Mysterious Space Plane" and a bonus beats of "More Fire" for those djs who like to / are able to get creative with their mixing.
