Night Noise Music is back with its 30th release, returning to its roots of seeking out unknown talent and providing a platform to support their endeavours. Their latest discovery is @AsiminAsanof aka Edin Haliti, a musician, DJ, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist based in Rijeka, Croatia. Here he delivers two epic original tracks which get remixed by Jonny Sender and Yarni to great effect.

Asimin Asanof is known for covering a wide array of genres and has almost two decades of experience in the game. He is founder of a club night called ʼSlasticarnaʼ and this alias of his is designed to re-introduce kraut rock and Italo disco vibes to classic house and electro sounds. Using synths and live instruments, he takes cues from Eastern and African music and all that shines through here.

Sheffield artist @itsYarni steps up to remix Aluminium Beach coming fresh off the success of his recent album on the label. His version is smooth, spaced out, with great melodies and soulful chords bringing a laid-back feel to ‘Aluminium Beach’.

Bringing a deep, vintage piano loop to a stripped-back and lean instrumental, this is another notably bouncy and polished release that underlines Jethro Heston's ability to craft atmospheric, classic and captivating dancefloor heaters. With an endless call to love and Balearic sensuality, the London producer adds this inventive and studied cut to his ever-expanding repertoire.

Desire

The penultimate release on Optimo Trax (at least for now) comes from Tel Aviv’s mighty Kalbata. I was already a big fan and was so delighted when he got in touch to see if I would be interested in releasing something by him. Unusually for Optimo Trax this is one track in 3 versions but each version is so different that often I play them all in one DJ set. Originally there were two versions but as Kalbata is a renowned master of dub (check out the documentary online about him recording in Jamaica) I gently persuaded him to do a no holds barred dub mix too which appears here as Enkuan pt 3.

A few words about the record from Kalbata - 

I went to Ethiopia in the beginning of 2017 to record musicians. The most memorable one was Mulugeta Teshome who plays the Washint flute on this record. It's a traditional Ethiopian flute made out of wood and Mulugeta came to the studio carrying a whole bag of them, each one in a different key. We chose the scale and started the recording session. I ended up taking the tracks a lot further with the three cuts on the record but really it all started that day, in a small studio shack in Addis Ababa.

Leopard Gum new single coming out from the hands of Berlin duo Local Suicide in collaboration with Nicki Fehr. 
The titule and open track an alternative method to cooking up some music, probably started off as a small impromptu jam in an- other backyard with berliner Nicki Fehr during one of those formidable cold German capital evenings and took shape over the course of winter when venturing outside for a meal seemed impossible - most of the studio snacks were kept room temperature by setting themselves up atop the synths. Coldblooded, maximaly apathic this track at the same time leaves an impression of a piece of tense invisible matter which is shrinking beyond recognition, then suddenly straightened out and like torpedo throwing out beams of energy that will cause any dark room to vibrate. Out now on Chloe's Lumière Noire Records with remixes from Smagghe & Cross, Niv Ast and Lauer.
