Kathleen Malay & Jason Kudo formed Ora Iso in 2011 in Brooklyn, New York. Kathleen Malay, Indonesian-born and Australian-raised, landed in NYC where she met New Yorker Jason Kudo and immediately formed a symbiotic musical bond, mutually feeding off of each other’s defects and general disenfranchisement with the world at large. Neither possess the cure the other needs to exist harmoniously within the universe, but it’s the thought that counts. Their first album together was Bathcat in 2014 on Ba Da Bing! Records. Kathleen now lives in the crowds of Jakarta, Indonesia and Jason in isolation deep in the mountains of New Hampshire.
