(Intro) Have you ever woken up to a phone alarm turned it off and just thought to yourself fuck this Im not dealing with today but you wake up in 5-10 minutes realizing that you have to? Well if so this song is for people like me and you. 
(Verse 1)I carry on mind tainted by all the evil Ive absorbed, for normality Ive struggled and fought, invested and bought, realized I was selling myself short trust when I tell ya buying into disbelief of self will leave you with nought, Im insane living in search of the happiness Ive always sought, no pain no gain slipping Im rarely caught, but when I am my mind warps and contorts the fire I find inside rotting in depressive thoughts, But he knows giving ins no resolution that’s clearer than quartz, emotions brewing as my mind teleports into the mentality to survive this lifes sport, Bennys paranoid and more than a little panicky plus hes got no connection or hope in humanity, everydays got him stressed and evoking profanity, Spending his days lost in the forest with the concrete canopy,  He soldiers on overcoming the insanity, Like fuck these narcissistic egomaniacs out there wrapped up in vanity, When they step to him watch his composure go from order into anarchy, He puts solid effort in breaking his back for a minimum wage salary whilst the devil laughs at his futile attempts to preserve his sanity.
(Hook) That’s life in the Sydney city blues, stained pants and hoody with the thrashed shoes agitated in the bus queue with half a mind to say fuck you, In a jiffy my mood renews but I still know that I strictly refuse to consistently lose, What have I to prove or to live up to?, Catch me doing what I do battling Sydney city blues. 
(Verse 2)Through this Sydney city mind state I’m drifting, These negative thoughts gain gravitational pull upon collision, got me asking the same old question is life worth living?,  when the sun don’t shine in these blues quitting is a concept that is hard to be resisting, The media with the system is asinine still I keep up with persistence, I peer onto these sightlines and see my goals ever so distant,  I can’t ever fall behind when I see that horizon glisten, its days like these in this disposition got me admitting that everlasting happiness is non existant, the plight of the world continues to thicken as I grow disgusted and my stomach sickens, I search for people like myself but its slim pickings, It’s a testament to a lesson learned in 1st year that we are all different, I remain, man on a mission, stick to the facts and forget about government fallacies or superstitions, Move through these days without wishing in my thinking, Work hard and hardly play cos that’s part of my condition, into solitary im shifting leaving those unwilling to listen plus these tricksters and backstabbers without a pot to piss in.
