Iranian multi-disciplined artist, Soho Rezanejad is a composer and vocalist whose practice is a testament to versatility, born in New York, and now residing in Copenhagen. Rezanejad's work is mutable, often narrated in mythological storytelling and disclosed in a dizzying spell of genres. Her debut full-length album, Six Archetypes, accompanied by the intense visual drama of a series of music videos, paint a kaleidoscopic cast of unfolding characters. This same unwavering commitment to change is also found across the diverse themes and instrumental palettes she has explored in her visual and sonic works. From her performance series, Crow Without Mouth, based on episodic plays, to the vigorous sampling of natural phenomena and hymn-like aria compositions on her two-volume album, Honesty Without Compassion is Brutality. Since 2015, she has recorded over ten albums reaching wide acclaim for her prolific practices in electronic music, and has collaborated with renowned labels such as Posh Isolation. For 2021, Soho initiates ‘The Entertainer’ - a multi-episode reinterpretation of her own body of work, previously performed in Slovakia, Denmark, Italy and now Greece. 

She shares  a journey into a woman who, based on her devotion to god, gets burned at the stake - similar to a moth with the flame where, based on its love for the light, flies into the fire to become one with it. Is the moth’s devotion driven by choice? What about the woman?

Mars89 is a musician whose uncompromising electronic compositions have cemented him as one of the most unique and exciting prospects within Tokyo’s underground club circuit, but his contribution to the city’s culture extends far beyond the dancefloor. 


Since moving to Tokyo in his late teens in 2008, Mars89 has established himself as someone whose creative output — in all its shapes and forms — provides a vital perspective on the vicissitudes of living in one of the most populous urban metropolises in the world.


His discography to-date is a bricolage of styles, channeling the guttural, sub-bass-infused body music from UK dubstep’s heyday and the mutant rhythms of Bristol’s signature bass music scene — some of Mars89’s foundational musical influences — as well as the auteurs of cinema, from Kubrick to Lynch, and, specifically, their unparalleled flair for all things eerie, abject and uncanny. In his arsenal, he possesses tracks that can immediately ignite the latent energy of a heaving club crowd, as well as ambient compositions that transport listeners into unsettling alien landscapes evocative of sci-fi dystopias and biotechnological collapse. It’s his ability to weave seamlessly between the two that sets him apart as an artist who ultimately uses his sensibilities to design entire worlds, and this is also reflected in his boundary-pushing VR explorations with label Bokeh Versions and collaborations with designers like Patrick Savile.


Outside of music, Mars89 has collaborated with fashion brand Undercover's Jun Takahashi, on a collection that deconstructed military garments, making them into a powerful anti-war statement in true punk spirit, as well as releasing a record through the brand. The latter referenced the show soundtrack he had created for Undercover’s AW19 collection, and featured remixes by Thom Yorke, Zomby and Low Jack, who he had played alongside at the Takahashi-curated instalment of Virgil Abloh’s club night, Sound Design. All three of the artists signed up for remix duty immediately upon request, demonstrating how highly regarded Mars89 is by his global contemporaries. 


Mars89 is also a key figure within Tokyo’s activist community, spearheading an anti-establishment ‘Protest Rave’ that has seen sound trucks drive through some of the city’s most iconic vistas while blasting out hard techno, galvanising Tokyo’s youth into new, emergent strands of political engagement.

Ladislav Zensor (Exhausted Modern, Oblaka) is a Czech musician and sound designer. His interest in music dates back to the early 2000s when he fell under the spell of illegal rave parties during their golden age in the Czech Republic. After a number of years experimenting with DJing, music production, and street art, his primary focus shifted to music in 2007. In 2011, he spearheaded the Endless Illusion record label, releasing music from underground artists based in the Czech Republic and beyond, putting on regular events, and gaining international recognition. After a decade in existence, he brought the label to a timely close in 2021 and joined forces with the new LTE records project. Ladislav is a prolific producer, releasing music on the likes of Brokntoys and Veyl, has presented his live set at Lunchmeat festival and in countries across Europe, and is a resident of Ankali, Prague’s reigning night club for electronic music. Also known as Layup, Exhausted Modern, and Oblaka, Ladislav has used different monikers to explore and transform his style of production throughout his music career. He’s now trying his hand at commercial and theatrical work, and is collaborating with the contemporary dance group 420PEOPLE.

Erica Van Berger, a Brazilian sound artist who steps outside of current trends in electronic-industrial music with compositions that focus on heavy, nocturnal atmospheres which are primarily driven by downtempo, sub-bass heavy tracks that are laden with a sinister and seductive ambience.
Her music is tastefully marred by martial industrial rhythms that juxtapose distorted synthesis which injects an acute urgency in her music while remaining beguilingly hypnotic. The electronic pulsation disembody Erica’s signature imperious and abrasive sound design which blurs the lines between electronic music genres and lend narrative ideas to the listener of conflict, turmoil, desire and control.

Focusing on energy rather than genre, DJ Shahmaran draws inspiration from rave, jungle, juke, electro, pop; anything and everything carried through breakbeat rhythms. His mixes are high in energy marked with episodic moments of reflection. Named after the myth of Shahmaran, his intention with mixing is to lure you into her cave filled with nocturnal critters and together embark on a dramatic journey through escape, ecstacy, and love; the groundwork for you to dance away the contradictions of life. 


ACIDIC MALE 
Acidic Male is interested in industrial sounds, hypnotic drum patterns and experimental vocals. Having her performer name as a revenge title, she searches to “other” herself into the position of a poetic perpetrator. Her sounds have been described as “elegant industrial”, yet in her selections she attempts to showcase her love for genre-wide experimentalism.

Oramics was created in 2017 as a platform to empower women, non-binary and queer people in the electronic music scene, then it evolved into an independent booking agency representing @zosia-ho-ubowska, @dogheadsurigeri, @molimonster and @isnt. We work mostly in Poland where we are from but our crew is based also in the Netherlands, Austria and France.

The vital part of our activity is to support other struggling communities and also music and artists from our region (Eastern and Central Europe) who are heavily underrepresented in the international music scene. 

We curate club nights and concerts, co-curate festivals and other events, showcasing the most interesting artists on the Polish scene. We curated stages at OSA Festival in Sopot and Sanatorium Dźwięku Festival in Sokołowsko, Tauron Music Festival in Katowice. We also run club nights at Projekt LAB club in Poznań. Artists from our roster performed at festivals such as Unsound, Tauron Nowa Muzyka, Sacrum Profanum, Rhizom, Instytut, Audioriver and played in renowned venues across Europe such as Macao, Ankali, De School or Cafe OTO.

We run a podcast series dedicated to artists from mentioned groups, artists who recorded mixes for us were i.a. Noncompliant, Nazira, La Frachieur, Violet and more. Electronic Beats said that “Oramics podcast series is quickly becoming a favourite here at Electronic Beats HQ.”

We also organize workshops, with a safe, inviting space and a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the gear and knowledge that is not readily available. We’ve organized DJing workshops (CDJ and vinyl) as well as production workshops (Ableton, drum machines, synthesizers, mobile apps for making music etc.).
