Playful track showcasing my new Fender Strat's neck pickup. This tune just poured right out when I picked it up for the first time. This one's a work in progress and has taken on many different permutations. Expect that it'll be followed up by a more complete idea later. Working on more now.

Guitars used were, of course, the Fender Strat. I also used my Gibson Les Paul and Fender 52 Tele for stunt work. All tones courtesy of the Fractal AxeFX3. Used an Orange AD30 with verb and a little delay.

Electric

It's no secret that I love The Cult and U2. This snippet tips its hat to both bands. What might not be as evident is my love of the The Mission UK as well. The bass was inspired a little by Wasteland.

Cult of Omission

Goal here is southern alt rock about to explode. Really up'd the compression to achieve the overloaded sound you hear.

Only guitar used was my Gibson Les Paul. Tone was achieved with Fractal Audio AxeFX3. Just a clean Fender Twin with a ToneBender Fuzz in front for it all.

Stinger

This one came about from a bass riff I'd recorded with some drums. Formed a good beefy rock riff and punchy breakdown.

Guitars used were my Gibson Les Paul and Fender Strat. Tone was achieved with Fractal Audio AxeFX3. Just a clean Fender Twin with a ToneBender Fuzz for the bigger fuzzy parts and a Marshall SV20 for the punchy Strat tones.

Point Break

This one has been stewing on my laptop for some time. A slow burning, swampy sounding song.

Green River

Big track that sounds like something you'd hear from Foo Fighters.

This one has taken a while to get going. Some songs are like that. It really was born out of a desire to express darker emotions in my music. The B section would suggest otherwise though as it sounds quite uplifting. A good balance I suppose.

Orangenoise is the idea incubator of session guitarist and producer Rob Briggs. Most of the recordings presented are snippets and fragments for larger projects with others. Rob has been playing and recording music for over 35 years.
