After nearly four years of radio silence following 2020's honey butter beats vol. 2, chuckee. bum rushes the scene at his most focused and most ill with his official debut full-length album, SCRATCH.

"It took me a long time to learn how to make music the way I always heard it in my head," the enigmatic beat junkie comments with a grin. "That's the main reason I took so much time out to learn how my heroes did it. I figured I was gonna represent hip-hop proper, so why not do it the right way?"

Taking an extended rap sabbatical for the next four-ish sun cycles, chuckee. engrossed himself in all things ruff, rugged and raw. Studying under the tutelage of old WKCR radio tapes, underground microphone maestros (Artifacts, People Under the Stairs, Masta Ace, De La Soul) and beatmachine virtuosos (Lord Finesse, the Beatnuts, Buckwild, DJ Krush), the producer painstakingly rearranged his mental in order to deliver what he considers his best work yet. As chuckee. so groovily put it, this is his formal re-"endtroduction" as artist and producer.
