Serpentine

This song has always meant a lot to me growing up. It was one of those tracks that hit with this unstoppable burst of energy, tight drums, bright harmonies, and that incredible vocal interplay that made it feel larger than life. It was also a song where Phil Collins really stepped into a new spotlight. He was already known as a drummer and band member, but this track showed him as a fully formed pop force, confident, charismatic, and capable of owning the front of the stage. Paired with Philip Bailey’s soaring vocals, the duet became something electric: two completely different voices colliding in the best possible way.

For me, hearing this as a kid made music feel exciting and limitless. It was one of those songs that made you turn up the stereo and feel like the whole world was moving with it. Even now, it still brings back that spark of growing up and discovering just how powerful a great song can be and that's why we decided it would make for a great cover!

Easy Lover

“Upside Down” is an instrumental journey into a shadowy, nostalgic world where the air hums with electricity and every echo feels like a warning. Inspired after rewatching Stranger Things and getting pulled back into its eerie 80s atmosphere, I set out to capture that same blend of tension, wonder, and vintage synth magic, without recreating anything directly from the show.

Built on brooding analog pads and a steady, pulse-like bass, the track moves with slow, hypnotic intention, like wandering down an empty street long after midnight. Shimmering arpeggios drift in and out like distant signals breaking through static, adding momentum without ever breaking the spell.

Instead of big drops or dramatic shifts, the intensity rises through layers: more texture, more pressure, more mystery, drawing you deeper with each passing moment.

This is a piece meant to make you imagine, explore, and slip for a few minutes into an alternate world, one where the familiar feels eerie and the unknown feels close enough to touch.

“Demogorgon” drags you into a world where the air feels heavy, the ground hums with danger, and every flicker of movement makes you question what’s hiding in the dark. Inspired by the eerie tension and slow-burning dread of Stranger Things, this track isn’t just something you listen to, it’s something you feel creeping up behind you.

From the first moment, the vibe is unsettling and hypnotic. The rhythm never settles into comfort; it stalks forward in unpredictable steps, like footsteps echoing down an empty hallway. Shadows seem to shift with every pulse, and distant shapes blur into something not quite familiar.

There’s a sense of being trapped in a place where time moves differently, where the air vibrates, the silence feels alive, and you’re not entirely sure you’re alone. The energy stays low, tense, and cinematic, gradually tightening its grip as layers build and pressure rises.

This is the sound of wandering too far into the dark.
This is the feeling of the unknown pressing in.
This is “Demogorgon.”

Demogorgon

I write songs for the worlds I get obsessed with, and “Solo Raider” comes straight out of my ARC Raiders addiction. Think post-apocalyptic, sci-fi raid energy with a big, shout-along chorus for anyone who queues solo and still walks out stacked. Solo Raider

“Bountiful” is my modern retelling of the Ukrainian song “Shchedryk”—the folk melody that later became famous worldwide as “Carol of the Bells.” Long before it was a Christmas carol, “Shchedryk” was a New Year’s song, sung as a swallow flew into a home to announce that the coming year would be rich with harvest, health, and happiness.

In the original lyrics, the swallow is a tiny messenger of hope: it lands on the windowsill and calls to the master of the house, promising golden fields, strong livestock, and prosperity for the whole family. That vivid image of a bird bringing good fortune in the dead of winter really stayed with me.

“Bountiful” is my tribute to that story and to its Ukrainian roots. I kept the swallow and its message of blessing at the heart of the song, but reimagined it in a modern style—wrapping the ancient tale of good fortune, family, and renewal in a fresh, contemporary sound. It’s a celebration of where “Shchedryk” began, and a way of saying that its hope for a bright new year still belongs to all of us.
