Oratnitza are four young Bulgarian musicians who share a love for both Bulgarian folklore and contemporary genres. Inspired by past and present, they seek to regenerate their musical roots into the future. 

The band continues to travel the globe to showcase the expression of their musical DNA. With every discovery, adventure, and encounter their folktronic composition mutates. It is musical metaphysics.

Oratnitza came about during the hot summer of 2009 while busking by the sea. The idea soon evolved to interpret Bulgarian traditional songs in a way which our generation can truly embrace. Oratnitza is a blend of forgotten folk melodies, distant aboriginal themes, hip hop, dubstep, D'n'B and irregular rhythms.
