After watching Gordon Freeman's review of Tyrian I promptly decided to do another Tyrian remix after a long time. Musical style isn't exactly same as the original, but I tried to include as many recognizable features as possible.

EDIT: Renamed to part 2, I got the name wrong because this one was track number 1 in the Jukebox

Tyrian remix - Asteroid Dance part 2

I wrote this little loop to demonstrate why Equal Temperament sucks, and a lot of music would benefit from abandoning it. I tried to make the notes tuned as pure as possible with Milky Tracker's fine tune commands. Major triads especially sound much better.
The difference between just intonation vs ET is particularly noticeable in perfectly periodic tones (e.g. chiptunes). Effects like chorus and unison detune are often used with equal tempered synthesizers to mask the dissonance.

Pure Major Demo

Background music form the 1990 computer game Ski or die, played on electric guitar almost verbatim, if a little sloppy.
Lead guitar was recorded in 2 takes, switching between the two to minimize mistakes. Dishonest maybe but gawd this track is difficult to play perfectly.
